After 1989, there was not a single reasonable reason for the Saxons to leave their ancestral homeland. The communist dictatorship was over. One could have contributed to the new democratic structures and put the country back in order. Instead, they hurried to the supposed paradise of capitalism, to Germany, where they eagerly took care to make the few capitalists even richer by consuming all kinds of things that the advertisements ordered, while in the old homeland the houses and churches, the cemeteries fell into disrepair, and the old people who remained behind could only wait for death. A sin and a shame to bring the 800-year history to such a shameful end.

I have recently found your RUclips, and although some of the videos are old, they make me feel very emotional. I was never raised in Transylvania but my mother was. She did not really tell me about her past or what her culture really was about unless I asked. I am a young adult now and she has decided to stay in Germany and I feel very lost in life. I have been trying to learn more about being a Transylvanian Saxon to try to ground me and connect with my roots, it gives me a sense of direction. Your videos have helped me greatly and I cannot express how grateful I am that this channel exists. Thank you very much.

That was a very beautiful recipe and history lesson. Relatively easy to make and very satisfying, especially during a hard day's work in the rural environment back in the past.
