Highlights from scuba diving in the tailrace below Oahe Dam near Pierre, South Dakota. One highlight was seeing a paddlefish. Drift diving is going with the flow of the current and on this dive, the release from the hydroelectric plant was quite low thus the current not as strong as it often is.

A sample of exploring Jordan's Underwater Military Museum. Diving and exploring sunken ships has a long history. Building upon that, many boats have been intentionally sunken to create habitat & diving sites. In Jordan, they've expanded this practice by sinking various military equipment and creating a fascinating dive experience.

After exploring the Lockheed L1011 TriStar wreck (near Aqaba, Jordan), Jason of Scuba Zen , took me to a beautiful ending of the dive. A small coral cluster and the posts of a pier were teeming with life.

A sample of scuba diving and spearfishing in Lake Oahe in central South Dakota. This video is from a couple of dives on a rocky point in July 2021. It gives a taste of diving in one type of habitat.

About 3 hours of diving on Oahe condensed into a few minutes. A malfunctioning speargun caused us to share the one functioning speargun. We had a delightful afternoon and harvested some delicious fish.

This was my first dive in Pactola. The 45 minute dive, in July of 2020, is edited down to about 5 minutes to give non-divers a glimpse of under Pactola. In addition to the sights and sounds of me breathing, you will also hear the sound of various motors as boats are moving around the lake.
