Grant Stone I think told me to sit down and do the Brannock, which puts me at the right size for sneakers and LL Bean, but at least 5 other boot companies, including them, all run small from that measure. Maybe if I stand up and measure again??? ...because I don't know how at least three reviewers are saying that RW and Thirsty and some other boots run BIG when on me they were tiny!! ...and I have small feet!!! Maybe I'll try them on in-store next year to give them a more fair look, but I already have bunch other boots already.

yeah, it could be different for everyone. For me going down the size of my brannock has worked on some styles but not for all. Red wing just released the Beckman, for that one they says to go with your brannock size. I wonder if you will try them. They are a little bit dressier than the Blacksmith. It would be cool to see a review on them. Take care.

Hahaha, I have a patch of moss near my driveway, I didn't know this boots was going to trap it that much. yeah looks like broccoli. I agree with you these boots look a little bit dressier for patina, but that is what I am working with. Thank you for checking out the vide.o Take care.

@EDHBlvd lol say what? The only real difference in that last is supposed to be the toe spring.. I actually have a Nicks Packer from 2008 in the 5332 last which is basically the tallest arch compared to all the aforementioned lasts we just mentioned

@@toneohm I don’t think the arches are actually any different between the 55/67/5332/5812. It’s more about the heel height. The Packers are built with a 6 layer heel stack instead of a 5 layer like the Classic. This is regardless of Last. So a 55 Last Packer will feel like it has more arch than a 55 Last logger boot. However nicks calls the 11067 the “classic high arch”.

@EDHBlvd yeah Mike Smith told me the actual arch support piece is the same across the board,, but idk, from my own perspective.., i really feel like they hit differently.. i feel it more in my 4811 than my 55.. both from White's too so it's not like it's a brand thing.. n right, more heel height can yield more arch,, Packers i would say are the most high arch type boots out there.. and i don't mind the heel height so much as i do the toe shape.. not into the cowboy toe point or exaggerated Packer cuban heel.. but i dig the arch support they provide.. Frank's just announced a new Packer option the other day.. And just wanted to say, im not trying to knock the 67,, id still really like to try the 11067,, Ubran Logger with W&C Double Stuff.. honey lug sole.. that would be a nice combo to me

@@toneohm my point is the 67 is closer to the 4811 than the 55 is. If you like the 4811 you should try the 67. It’s Nicks OG firefighting Last, just like the 4811 is Whites firefighting Last.

I don't know if the White's run MORE narrow than everybody else, but the Rose Anvil collab pair I got sure do.

I don't think you should need a rebuild for more than a year with those if you're not doing anything too rugged in them.

You can get a diagram of the design of the boot the reason why the heel is made like that it takes a lot of your arches and unto the heel of your foot when you walk in the forest you can tear the land up with these they are very very good boots and actually the lights are the probably the last pair of all leather boots I will ever buy living in Colorado you have some rough Terrain

The original bootmaker his name is Otto White this boot has been a style has been around since the late 1800s or so if I'm correct

@feastingonmetal8503 gotcha, thanks man! I have seen some videos of some worn in cognac bison and the uppers do look darker than brand new, maybe similar to natural Dublin. I went with a black pair, as I'm not a huge fan of tan/lighter brown boots. I do like yours though!

They sure are.

Thankyou for checking out the video, this leather is quite oily so when you pull it, or put pressure on it you can see the oils running along the pressure points on it, that makes the leather very supple on the feet. Hope that illustrates the concept. Best wishes for you

I saw your other unmarked video where you mentioned you went true to size and that was from what I understand restricting, this pair seems to be perfect, and I can't say is it because of the different last or sizing
