This is amazing!!! I Just attended a play that shead light and perspective on the caregiving dynamic. It was incredible. The play started with God talking to a husband saying your wife is about to have a brain aneurysm you need to take the lead, you can do this. The next was a sister trying to find a care facility for her brother, she was trying to navigate all the paperwork and sitting on hold. Truly touching.

Great food for thought, Amy. I'm starting to have some discussions with my parents about their bills. They have always been very quiet about these issues (as there is a lack of open money talk in my family) so I really have no idea. But they really need to have some help with maintenance in the next few years or their home won't be as liveable. My sister and I can help somewhat, but it seems clear that we will have to make some big decisions in the next 1-2 years about this issue.
