Good to hear how positive this company is. I was suppose to start this week and the hurricane hit and no power till Sunday night so I head up this Sunday but they checked on me and made sure I was ok. Never had a truck company even care enough before. So glad to hear how they have treated you thru your medical issue. Feel better soon and hope you get back out there soon. Thanks for the info.
Thanks and glad you’re okay! Safe travels up to Minnesota! I hope your experience here goes well.

@@jodysmuseo it’s a pretty good company. Good friendly people, good trucks, good miles. Check out some of my other videos. I explain a lot there.
How soon after you started did you get paid? I start next week and just curious how soon so I can plan.
@@1987Adt if I’m not mistaken, I think I got my first check that first week but it was only orientation pay. Then mileage pay started the next week
@@MusicalTrucker89 awesome that’s all I needed to know. I had to push orientation out a week cause of this hurricane and just trying to plan on bills and such. Hope you get back to work soon!

Im actually loving your vidoes. Really thinking of heading that way if they hire out of Texas. I have 23.5 yrs driving experience and no accidents and no tickets and clean clearinghouse. I really hope they hire out of my area 78061 and ill definitely put you down as a reference my brother. Once again i appreciate all your videos because they help us drivers out here to hear from the actual driver and how it really is in a company. Do they offer a hotel when you break down?
@@sadguhh Ozark did not offer me one. I sat for 6 hours in the snow waiting for a loaner truck that did not start when they towed it to me
How the money? Thanks for the video bro
@@amiramir8484 I can only speak for ME. My dispatcher loads me up with miles and I run hard so I make good money at .55 cpm plus per diem. I keep my left door closed driver.
They’re alright. Drove for them for a bit. Here’s the run down… You’re gonna get .60cpm if you run their “pad wrap” division. You may get a pad wrap load once a week. You may get 5 a week. You may go 3 months without one. No telling when and where you’ll get one. The loads are wrapped with moving blankets. When you’re in Houston in the middle of summer and have 120 blankets to fold AFTER they unload you, so another hour of folding blankets after they take 3 hours at a construction site to offload you. Are they all that bad? No But you don’t know what you’re gonna get til you get it. Dispatchers won’t let you take your 34 and force you to roll off recap. Blow you up to start running after a 10 1/2 hour break when you’re still on time for delivery. Strict home time rules. Need 6 days off? Better plan to be out for 6 weeks if not longer. An extra day? Better have a doctors note. That last one is seriously no joke. I had to get my dentist to excuse me from work because I needed an extra day home. You have to ask yourself is all that worth .60cpm? It wasn’t for me.
@@Farrell0208 you’re spot on with the Padwrap thing but as far as working with you on home time, the 34hr break experience…I’ve NEVER experienced that from Taylor. Anytime I need to be home, like I am now, I get there no questions asked. No pressure on going back out either. I’ve never experienced them forcing me to get moving after a 34. They send my loads and I run them without anyone ever breathing down my neck about how I run. Never been micromanaged, ever! Sorry you didn’t have a pleasant experience but mine has been amazing! Like I say in most of my videos, everyone’s experience will be different because we all have different expectations and situations.

Congratulations Jokomis. You deserved it!!!!
Good for you!! I started at 15yo. I’m 67 now. I quit cold turkey when my grand daughters were born 7 years ago.
@@speedbuggy2155 well congratulations. That’s positive regardless of how old you were
Questions. Do the trucks have an apu? Do you decide where to fuel or do they tell you where and how much fuel to get? Do they route you or do you decide on the route?
@@speedbuggy2155 you will have a dedicated dispatcher who will send you your routes. Of course it’s technically forced dispatch, but you can communicate with your dispatcher where you prefer to run. Our Volvos does have APU’s but our Freightliners are equipped with Opti Idle with battery mode and interior comfort modes. Also we use Loves as our primary fuel location.
Okay, I understand that. What I’m trying to ask is, do you decide how to get from point A to point B or do they tell you what roads to take? Loves is great but do you fill it up or do they tell you to get only 60 or 75 gallons?
@@speedbuggy2155 you can fill it up and choose your own routes as long as you’re not miles and miles out of route
Thank you. That’s what I needed to know. I used you as a referral.

@@MusicalTrucker89 I'm out of the Memphis Tn area they told me about the guarantee pay is that a good idea or should I stay at CPM??
@@ltmatthews7263 honestly it depends on if you’re on the 14 days out the 7 days out and who your dispatcher is. If your dispatcher is really running you then I’d go CPM because you can exceed that guaranteed pay
