Hey creighton films, Do you still live in Escatawpa or are you living somewhere else these days? I love my home town of Magee and it's quite a small town but it's the town that was named after me!!!! People know me as Kevin Magee from Magee!!!!

1 traffic light!!!! It seems as though Escatawpa has a lot of history!!!! When I saw 3 Doors Down in concert back in 2002 in Jackson, I had no idea they were a Mississippi band.. I basically didn't even know how to pronounce the name of this tiny town of Escatawpa.. What's the population as of now in 2021? Hey creighton films, Have you ever been to Corinth? It's the home of Saving Abel which are another great rock band!!!! I went to Corinth 6 times and loved getting a Slug Burger and seeing all the great museums!!!! You should come to my home town of Magee and try a Zip Burger!!!! I love downtown Magee as well!!!! Corinth was great but it's so far away!!!! At least Escatawpa isn't too far from Magee, only about 2 and a half to 3 hours, whereas Magee to Corinth is 5 hours!!!! Do you know Brad Arnold personally? I'd love to get to meet him!!!! I saw Saving Abel in concert in 2017, and I had seen 3 Doors Down in 2002, but never met the band!!!

Hey creighton films, I went through Escatawpa back in April 2021 and saw the Escatawpa River.. I had no idea Escatawpa was a Choctaw word for Dog!!!! So Escatawpa River=Dog River!!! Cool name!!!! You need to see my home town of Magee next!!!! I had never explored the home town of 3 Doors Down, but I'm more familiar with Corinth,Mississippi the home of Saving Abel!!!! I like Jared Weeks as well as Brad Arnold!!!

I used to explore this same abandoned school when I grew up on kreole Ave moss point ms

I went to a race in the 50's that may have been at that track. Seems like there was water in the middle of the round track. Lots of old time race cars with two doors and rounded fenders.

I graduated from LOA in 89 and it's weird watching this. So many good memories. Thanks for uploading it, Creighton and I hope you and Forrest are well.

Watching this brings back so many memories. I also grew up in Escatawpa but moved away in 1991. My dad was the pastor at Four Mile Creek. I lived about 10 houses down from you, lol. I probably passed your house dozens and dozens of times riding my bike through the neighborhood. That circle in the drive way was awesome because it had that patch of trees in the middle to hang out in. The old neighborhood still looks pretty much exactly the same. Thanks for the memories, friend.

Is the racetrack off Ballard rd by Dawes that was a horse track?

I shouldn't talk about this, but I feel the need. The Rams did not respect us too much before that game. Why do I say this? Because we were resting & focusing on the game in and around our dressing room...you know, getting ready. We could hear (and I saw) a good many of their team grab-assing, goofing off, & screwing around. This did not sit well with the Rebels. At that point I know we all decided we would not lose to these fine lads. I'd say we were a little beyond mildly pissed-off by kickoff time...

Our school is now a Head Start center...I'd rather it had rotted down too!

I played football against Live Oak Academy in 1980. We beat them at their place & it was a really tough game for the South State A championship. They had a small running back who could throw the hell out of a football. You'd never get a good solid lick on him because he was so fast. He ran even better than he passed! His name was Greg Switzer & I had the good fortune to play with him on the South MS All Star team. He damn near won that game for them. We went on to win our first State Title in 1980 & repeated in 1981. We won state many years after that, but the 80 team was THE best Heidelberg Academy ever produced without a doubt!

My God...I dream of Live Oak again and again. I had no idea it had quite come to this.

It burned to the ground yesterday... people are saying it was set deliberately... it look like it was a beautiful historic building at one point.. You may have some of the last video of the place.
