What's you engine specs?
Nice little video, enjoyed that.
Hi there, can I use this clip in my compilation? Any comment what happened? Thanks
ffs
HGV dangerous driving? more like a dangerous blind retarded in van with a dash cam, what are the indicators for?
bro mustve been running on bald tires
Track was wet, green and VERY slippy
No rev match on downshift? It seems that the tires chirp on every downshift at a moderate to high sped.
I was blipping but not enough some places but it was on std road tyres
Do you have plan to upgrade the radiators too?
No, it's not necessary for the UK weather tbh.
Nice car control as usual mate 👍
That was exciting. It reminds me of exhilarating days past. Did you almost get caught out by that blind left corner over the top of the hill?
Haha! I enjoyed competing with you Peter and hope you may come back again soon. No, it didn't catch me out as I know the track well but the conditions were very damp and I left my braking a little late but still managed it. I t wasn't a problem :)
Nice laps, definitely some performance left out there👍👍👍
Dang I need to hit up the track asap. Haha
Hi Andy, hope my Cayman S was not holding you up too much. Cannot take the much credit for its' pace, it was modified by the previous owner. However, was enjoying clearing some of the traffic ahead before pulling over so you could pass safely. Not talked before but we met very briefly when you were signing on. David
Hi David, No problems you were going well. What mods have been done? I thought it was a tad more than standard :)
@@ajondyh Previous owner mods • 3.7 engine with 997 cams and 82mm induction using 996 GT3 RS race throttle body and IPD plenum • AEM Infinity programmable ECU with dashboard selectable maps • Dashboard selectable PASM total over-ride for competition and fast track driving • Quaife ATB LSD • Lightweight single mass flywheel • Numeric Racing billet gear shift • Milltek exhaust • Upgraded brakes with Porsche ABS • KW adjustable suspension units • Dynamics lightweight 18” wheels 9” front, 10” rear and track day tyres • Motordrive FIA lightweight Kevlar seats • GRP front and rear hatch • Carbon fibre front splitter and fixed rear wing. Added by me, not much in comparison - bolt in half cage - Oil pressure gauge - brake cooling ducts - motorsport deep sump
@@likestodrive7894 Wow, sounds awesome, some expensive mods there!!
@@ajondyh yes, so I believe, and am grateful to the previous owner for the investment they made. Am still exploring its’ capability.
New subscriber here keep it up. You need to research P-R-O-M-O-S-M!
Awesome 👏
No cooldown lap? I am thinking of doing a track day at Goodwood soon..
No cool down lap on a sprint. It's just 1 lap from a standing start. 2 x practices and 2 x timed runs.
The first year I went to the Manx loved every second of it
Nice one Andy. Full commitment as always. I thought you were going into the tyres though myself.
Thanks Ray.... loads of confidence then? Haha!!
I bet your arse fell out at that last chicane lol
Haha!! Wasn't too bad :D
Looked very calm and smooth Andy...not like you at all! :0)
As the say in Wales.....tidy!!
Nice one Andy. Like the unintentional demonstration on the cool down lap that Hislop's needs a bit more speed scrubbing off before turning in! Car goes well when you have some petrol in it! :0))
No.1. Haha!! I was trying to fix the side window which kept blowing outwards and lost concentration No.2. Sssshhhhhhh!!
I reckon Bertie's M3 that year was probably about a powerful and light as any ever made, he was awesome in 1990.
chunder27 Bertie's m3 was Patrick Snijers the year before ,you could say it was the best as Snijers in that car was regarded as getting the maximum ever achieved out of a m3
you weren't there in 1988 were you?
+Adam Midghall Probably but didn't start videoing until late 89
+Andy Fagan wouldn't happen to have any photos or know anyone that would of fabrizio tabaton in the integrale on the Manx 1988 would you
+Adam Midghall No sorry, but I remember him well with the Grifone cars. Good driver !
+Andy Fagan ah okay. Just trying to get photos and videos of him
Mintage action and great footage. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice Andy, shows just how capable a Cayman R is. See you at Anglesey.
Andy, that was a great lap behind the red GT3. 2.02 (timed from bridge on Druid's exit) is very impressive for an R on road tyres. Judging from the lines of the GT3 I would say that it was the 991 tech keeping it ahead! ;-)
The HGV driver's a first class dick! I hate them playing wacky races and blocking both lanes of the A1...
Hi Andy, I didn't realize until I'd seen this that you now had the boxster race car....hence my surprise you were there when we met up in the paddock! Enjoyed the squeaky bum moment at Druids part way through your video!
+Steve Brookes Haha... it wasn't that bad. I was on properly worn out R888'sso grip was limited at times ;)
Nice through the S
+Mike Bye Didn't have an LSD fitted so lost traction through there and got a bit lairy at the top of esses :D
I've seen people look almost totally out of control tthere and yet still have a decent time
Some ballbags commenting here. End of the day truck should'nt have pulled out!!
This is a great video Andy, Bobby was truly a great lad one of a kind with a heart of gold! and a personality that could turn the dullest day into the brightest. He will always be missed each and everyday by all his friends and family. R.I.P Bobby you were like my brother to me I hope your having a wonderful time up there and your a peace. I can't wait to catch up when me meet again love you for ever brother. xxXxx
RvGJK Thank you
Nice driving would love to go there too with my cayman!
Looked like one of those nasty greasy tracks that always catches me out.
Yep it was very slippy in that session although dried out nicely later.
"1" write English literately ..It belittles youre point shurley its THE content not the presentation ? OH & i know know about spell checker ahhh enlightenment its all a learning curve ? ? ? arnt these computer things fun ? "2" I am NOT the driver ...I found you looking for "roadhawk" on the tube . "3" I have been driving over 45 years never hgv BUT i have learrned that .. A big truck closing in on another truck in the same lane with a car overtaking him in the outside lane with his indcators on to pull out does not need or expect a wanabe Ken block" with a camera playing I AM THE LAW .. he could have 40 tons there to slow down & then wind up again .. Ease off the throttle & a flash of you're lights ,,you would of got a double flash of his indicators & a cheery wave as you passed him seconds later .,.,.whitch you did anyway but with GGGrrrrrrrr nash GGRRR chill man ... Just because its the law doesn't give you the right to be an arsehole Ahh but thats the thing ...YOU think it does & got the pics to prove it .Oh yeh !! ...,,,..40 tons,,,,van... crash barrier.... ouch!!!!!!!!! I noticed from you're on board censors you had a few sharp readings of lateral g braking & speed on this journey ! ! ! keep up the good vids & the shiny side up the main C P U is in youre head best of luck. Taidy I am hen old ....On the road Drive defensive live long,.,., Track .... BALLS OUT yeee ha
It's on video mate, you've seen it. The truck pulled out whilst I was along side. He knew I was there! He had red mist and road rage. His closing speed on the truck in front was negligible, in any case he should have judged/adjusted that to suit the traffic flow, no excuses cover his action! If he doesn't use his mirrors he shouldn't be on the road, and if he misjudged it that badly he shouldn't be on the road, he could easily have eased off himself. The man is an absolute danger on the road. He could easily be in prison now on a manslaughter charge. Think of that! And to compound the problem he failed to stop. Not only did he fail to stop he gave us the finger! He knew what he'd done. He needs some anger management. A highly trained truck driver and a credit to the company?.... NOT!
Boll Damwad Well I know how to use an apostrophe, so what does that make you?
Regardless of the minute before or not, the Highway Code says you should not pull out if it causes another vehicle to swerve or slow down, and as I had been in the outside lane for the last few miles it was always my piece of road.As you say I am an experienced driver in motorsport and yearly vehicle road miles too which is probably fortunate for him as he could very easily have killed someone of less experience and caused a huge pile up, as there were several vehicles close behind me as well.
You should really learn to write English literately to be taken seriously.
He probably saw you when you spun it in front of him. - Having marshalled and competed at Three Sisters, I'd advise staying off the kerbs. I've seen a few cars go over from clipping them.
It would be nice to have a GT3 but as a road car power is good but more importantly just a very well balanced car
nice bit of driving, how do you find the power on it? thinking of getting one
