Really? I just came from Florida and there are a lot of new neighborhoods popping up everywhere and I specifically asked about insurance. No one seemed to be having any issues constantly reported on.

I would have thought it was to keep out seabirds. He mentions near the intercoastal waterways there aren't any screened pools, which makes sense, since I would assume the birds prefer the fresh, moving water, for food and comfort, but thats just my very uneducated guess.

It is interesting that they are not common at all here in Phoenix! With our monsoon debris and heat, you would think they would be popular here.

I had a feeling of #1 which is also where I’m gonna go - bad reputation for crime and it’s NE Florida. I like that it’s big enough to have all the city amenities and dip into the decent weather (still gets cold in the winter m), but still have more of a southern feel than a lot of other Florida cities.

As a Florida resident, I do not support the repurposing of our state parks into artificial recreational spaces. They must be left in their natural state. There's plenty of agricultural and/or industrial parcels that can be revitalized into golf courses. This is just a land grab for developers, and DeSantis is their enabler. Stick it where the sun can't find it Ronny.

Worst thing about living in Florida is guys who moved here from another state, highlight their hair, pump up, and are basically overage fraternity gym bros, but complain about things here even though they chose to move here. Only thing missing is white frame sunglasses.
