They have approximately the same power but they operate differently. Since the K961 is hydraulic, it is much quieter and faster. Since it weighs less than the Volvo, sometimes it may drag itself across the dirt when it can't move the dirt. The K961 is the most reliable excavator I've owned so far. The Volvo was the worst. It never worked longer than 3 days before it broke again.

Where do you buy? K963 that I'm finding is 2200 USD and k966 is 1200 USD. New to all this​@@RCconstructionJP

@@firstnamelastname1090 The K966 has tires and the K963 has tracks. I had one with wheels and it's good on pavement. But on dirt the tires just spin and it doesn't work well. I got rid of it quickly. The Kabolite is a great machine and is completely different from the excavators with screw motors instead of hydraulics. It was very reliable and a lot of fun to use. I don't have anything bad to say about Kabolite. I wanted to try a more expensive machine so I chose the Lesu. It cost twice as much as the Kabolite. It's an incredible machine. The motions of the hydraulics are smooth and flawless. I guess the difference between the Kabolite and Lesu are the same as the difference between a Kia and a Lexus. You can drive both of them to your destination, but the Lexus is a more luxurious ride!

The filter didn't look dirty. However, if it was it would be a major undertaking to remove it and clean it. The whole hydraulic assembly would have to come out.

3S battery, it's size is about 136*43*29mm (5.35" x 1.69" x 1.41"). They last 25 minutes. I purchased four extra ones from Amazon so I don't have to wait for them to charge. Also, with the charger that came with the machine the charge time is close to 9 hours. I had one from Huina. I sold it because I never really used it. I probably would use one if I have a very big area to play in.

This has been a very reliable machine. I've had Huina and Double D Volvo excavators and they broke all the time. They also had much less power so I was always trying to modify them to dig better. The Kabolite K961 is very reliable. I've had it 9 months and it only had one or two minor issues.

I had 5 hours on it! I know a lot of oil tanks are dirty when they are manufactured and they don't get cleaned. I wanted to change the oil when I got it but the quick connect wasn't delivered until yesterday.
