Glad you kept the camera rolling at the end there, that sound as they disappear into the darkness was magical. I was listening from the front coach after a good couple of days on the tour, the run down the Robin Hood line, through Beeston and Long Eaton was probably the highlight despite the hour.

This must have happened on Wednesday 10th January 2024 is the 3 car class 508104 is seen departing 🛫 Liverpool Lime Street perhaps 🤔 to New 🆕 Brighton. It’s a second generation EMU - Electric ⚡️ Multiple Unit that is the final class 508 is scheduled 📅 📆 off lease from ME - Merseyrail in January 2024. The next type of trains 🚊 will be off lease are the 3 car class 507s are coming off lease is by around my guess date 📅 📆 is perhaps 🤔 Friday 1st November 2024 at the latest when the brand new 🆕 4 car class 777s enter service with ME - Merseyrail. It all takes time 🕰️ for brand new 🆕 trains 🚊 to be delivered to these train 🚊 companies. The 4 car class 777s are second generation EMU - Electric ⚡️ Multiple Unit trains 🚊 that there are 53 x 4 car 777s will be delivered to the company ME - Merseyrail by the deadline date 📅 📆 is hopefully 🤞 🙏 perhaps 🤔 Friday 1st 🥇 November 2024 at the latest in almost 😅 9 months time 🕰️ from Thursday 1st February 2024. There is an option for a further 59 x 4 car class 777s are to be delivered to ME - Merseyrail by around perhaps 🤔 my guess date 📅 📆 is Friday 1st December 2028 at the latest in less than 5 years time 🕰️. All trains 🚊 are standard class accommodation only, no smoking 🚭 accommodation on all trains 🚊 and no toilets 🚽 🚻 on all ME - Merseyrail trains 🚊 because they are a short distance that stops 🛑 at intermediate railway 🚃 stations 🚉 and if any railway 🚃 staff and passengers want to use the toilet 🚻 🚽, they can find a public toilets 🚽 🚻 at the railway 🚃 station 🚉. ME - Merseyrail runs its services everyday and public holidays except Christmas 🎄🤶 🎅 🧑‍🎄 Day, however a limited service runs on Boxing 🥊 Day. 👍 😄

I assume the withdrawal of the 68+Mk5 Nova 3s is still going to happen in December..... I wonder how locomotive hauled services would have faired had First TPE actually used re-purposed class 442s as per the original TPE franchise tender plans, instead of these new CAF pieces of trouble. As it is, the CAF mk5s have been a headache for TPE, as was the 442 refurbishment and retractioning for First's SWR franchise, resulting in the 442s eventually going for scrap after £££m's had been spent on them.
