I am seriously considering a physical planner, but one thing bothers me. How do you take care of repeat tasks like your insurance payment and other financial stuff? Do you input it right at the start of the year and what happens when you can’t do it on that particular day, do you have to re-enter it on the next day. And what about little things like pay the electric bill et cetera. If I could get this kind of stuff out of the way, I think I could move to physical.

Good to know they took out those card slots on the flyleaf, I’m so glad they did! Love the new slanted pocket. And I love where the pen loops are! If they were exactly the same level, it would bug the heck out of me. 😆 LOVE that you call snaps, “Poppers.” 😄😍 and I think when you have the planner filled with papers, it will lay flat. All of my Moterms have always laid flat.

Thank you for this, how do you set up the computer to print 3 personal sized pages onto one a4 sheet of paper?

I use mini rings for my wallet. I also needed a way to write down dates and times in the future. I decided to use a year on 3 pages future log. It’s just the month calendar on one side and 4-5 lines next to it. I jot down the task and time (due to small space ex. Dentist 10AM) once a month when I’m setting up my calendar in my main planner I open up my wallet to see if there’s anything I need to add.

Did you use A4 paper? Isn't this small for 3 pieces

I own the same planner, and it is a gray taupe color. No green at all. I have grown to love it.

I have a TUL pen which l love..it is pink and rose gold. I got it from office depot..when it finally ran out a ink. I couldn't throw it out and found uniball 207 ultra fine refills fit it! Which made it better! It was not a fine point in the beginning. Maybe you you could do the same for your beautiful pen/pencil. Love the set up! I have a kate spade pocket agenda I use for work and have been struggling with the setup. You had great tips. Please show more of your pocket buddy! I would love ❤️ to see it!

Hi, I would love to know where your planner charm in the front the gold one is from. It’s very pretty.

Log = Capture Tag & Plan + CLARIFY lol The flow chart isn't actually all that hard and after a couple of times just becomes second nature. The one thing I hate about Allen's "write it on a sheet of paper" is OMG how effing wasteful! I just use the supply of free sticky notes we receive from companies and drop them in my physical inbox and sort out later.

I so love this planner but cannot buy it. Love not having a backpocket, the clear taupe colour, large rings, 2 pen loops and grain pebble leather but I cannot buy an expensive planner that puts the deco cards slits on the right, crazy right? These inspire me to plan and I must have them on the left.

I am currently using the Moterm Versa in Pocket Size because Personal and larger are too big, and blank spaces on a page annoy me lol. But I have a Malden Special Edition Personal Organizer Charcoal coming because I don't learn and want to try something bigger than a pocket-size planner.

Had to listen to it all two times.... The first time I got sidetracked by this beautiful pullover ❤.

I love the quality of the Norfolks, I now have them in the Personal and Pocket size, but the ring size is the main con for me. I actually was able to remove the rings from both of them and swapped them out with smaller diameters and it made a world of difference! This video was the review that made me fall in love with them and want to buy them, so thank you!

I'm glad you referred to the Quadrants as the Eisenhower Matrix. So many people try to name it as their own. Eisenhower was a WWII General for D-day, later became president and helped build our US highway system. Nice video you have here.

I do most of my planning during my commute, and my main calendar/diary is in my pocket Filofax, which comes everywhere with me. I have a larger notebook for note taking and more detailed planning, which I only carry if I think I’ll need it. I carry a backpack which is bigger than your handbag, but much smaller than your tote bag. I am setting up an A5 filofax to keep at home, to record things like my sewing projects and garden plans. I also intend to keep a back up of my appointments in there, which I will update once a week as part of my planning routine - just in case my little Filofax gets lost.

LOL I mean this respectfully, but your system literally IS GTD with a different name & the steps not broken down as distinctly as GTD. 😂 I think David Allen would agree when I say that; GTD isn’t a prison; it’s not a set of chiseled in granite commandments; if there are certain aspects / steps of it that don’t work for you; fine; tailor it to suit your needs. When he says you should take 2 days to brain dump; again; it’s not a commandment. There’s no rule / law that says you can’t use GTD until you first block out 2 full days. We are all different, and what works for one, might not work for another. For myself personally; I think GTD literally saved my life in many ways, so I’m a huge proponent. I’m glad you found something that works for you…. Even tho it’s just reworked GTD. 😎 It’s OK: PARA is also basically GTD re-worded.

That synthetic covering is actually functional. I always have my planner open on my desk and that cloth like thing helps protect it since I slide it around my desk and so it doesn't get dirty.

You might like the papersmith pens. Similar look to the ohto pen you got, but thinner body and pen tip.

Wow! I hardly see anyone using their rings protector. I’m glad I found this video because I’ve always wanted to see how other people use theirs. I believe there is a Gillio version but it is behind the rings, and it’s a 2-piece and they can be removed from the sides. I like Moterm’s version better, but curious if it can be placed behind the rings as well.

I tried the GTD method and found it far too tedious for me to keep up with. The bandwidth required to implement this and how I was seeing people write, rewrite, and RErewrite their items on a list.... that's just too much for me. That was just not feasible for me. I'm glad it works for people but yeah.... hard pass. I like this idea that you've created.... much simplified. I like it

Another option is to take pictures of the planning sections of your a5, and then group them together by month/week etc on a notes app. I use Google Keep, but I'm sure there are other apps that could work perfectly for this as well. When adding todos, I simply write them underneath the pictures. At the end of the day, I move all new todos over to my a5, without worrying that I might miss some todo as they were all written in specific places. It might not work for everyone, but it's something that one could consider if the other options don't work for them.

I’ve done a real good job of being happy with what I had too, until…Gillio came out with a cat collection! I’m a self professed cat lady and Gillio came out with two color selections that showcase some of my kitty’s! I will probably sell some of the planners that I’m not using.

There is no got to have for me, but I like a journal cover that offers some pockets and space to tuck things so Moterm ❤ but I buy less when I can just switch out a notebook for a sketch book or toggle back and fourth between different sizes for different purposes rather than using hardbound books.

I like stickers for appt reminders, etc As for decorating, I am a 4 out of 10. I do think there is a place and time for stickers. I find it relaxing updating my planner. I don’t understand when the stickers take over the entire page and there is no room to write anything down!!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I use my google calendar for appointments because I always have my phone on me and because my husband and I share a calendar. However I'll take a passport sized traveler's notebook or a micro-sized happy planner (yes, I'm a discbound girl) for notes, quotes and ideas on the go!

I changed out the rings in my LV pocket planner. It makes it much more functional for me than the original teeny rings. Thanks for your video. I’m a long time A5 girl and pure one planner only (the horror of having multiples!!😂). Happy to see you’ve adjusted as well. ❤
