Follow along as I attempt the 25 highest mountains in the incredible Lake District.
Spoiler alert - this will be a two year effort, gradually increasing my fitness and ensuring my personal safety so I return home to my loved ones unscathed and all the better for the experience.
I started out in January 2024 after a new years resolution to get fit and hike the 10 highest peaks in the Lake District - quickly to learn that I won't be doing those peaks this year, it just wouldn't be safe. (I had a desk job for 44 years and keeping fit was walking the dog.)
BUT - I can just about get up the middling fells and "bag" a few #Wainwrights on the way. So far I've achieved a double handful of them, the first few I didn't video (it wasn't pleasant!) and some were family walks that I didn't post to the 'Tube'.
