It was a partnership between Arkansas power and light and the federal government. It took so long because as I noted in the video, government bureaucracy moves slow. Why do you think they’re managed by the army core of engineers? In addition, I never said they weren’t for profit…so get your story straight. But, as I DID say, dams DO provide cheap and efficient electricity, and the reservoir provide recreation and flood control.

@@AnyWayYouTravel I currently don’t do commentary because I consider myself a traveler first and content creator second. A lot of my shots are “one take” as I pass by. I’ve been interested in finding a program to add commentary when I’m creating the video but I haven’t found one yet and am slightly technically challenged (and I don’t have a good computer- currently creating on an old iPad). So, basically I’m cheap, challenged and haven’t made enough effort to do it. However, you’ve given me some motivation to look into it!

@GAFisherman Like you, I can understand their fear, but not their response to that fear. In reality, our constitutional rights only mean something if they’re exercised in measured wisdom. In addition, it should’ve never been done through an executive order. It should’ve been passed through an act Congress.

Your channel is too good. I subscribe to dozens upon dozens of travel channels. You deserve way more followers. I wish you all the best. 1000 Subs in less than a year - with just 47 Videos - does not seem that bad to me 😉 I'm far from reaching this goal... Keep the good content up!

I am very blessed to be able to experience these places. Yeah the staircase coming down the lighthouse was kind of weird feeling. You felt like you were never quite sure of your footing.

@@AnyWayYouTravel I am sooooooo glad you said that. I’m so tired of people swearing how haunted the Crescent Hotel is. When I started working there, there was no mention of it ever being haunted, then in 1996 when the Roenigk’s bought it & fixed it up they started loosing money, when they learned about the history of the hospital & the people that died there, the Roenigk’s formed the idea about spreading the haunted hype. So for the last 20 years they started the ghost tour & the alleged hauntings & it took off from there, & the hotel started turning a profit. When I worked there the “morgue” was the maintenance shop & the cooler was the tool crib, they moved the shop & decorated it for the haunting. None of the maintenance men ever reported any ghosts in the shop before that back then. The has been going on so long that everybody in America believes it’s haunted.
