@@churchmusicco that’s just an opinion.. and here’s mine. Properly tuned heads on beautiful wood shells hit with hand picked sticks played by a human with a soul adds dynamics that will never be able to be replaced or replicated. Yes, a human is triggering the sound but I guess I’m just one of those who can’t be sold.. plus, in a recording setting, proper mic placement and room could take care of any argument for drum triggers. Again, just my opinion 🤙🏽💪🏽

@thirdearthsurf ​​⁠you’re right! That’s why I said “apparently”. Yeah, this is for a live setting where volume in the room is the primary concern. In an ideal situation, the real thing is always better. There isn’t an engineer in the world though that can make a live snare drum sound good 20 feet from someone’s face ;) not at 98dB

It’s a Yamaha Reface CS! I love it

The Squier affinity series is very good! A PJ is a great first bass, it’ll have a P pickup, and then a J pickup on the bridge. TONS of good choices on tap that will help you learn the application of the different sounds it can do. Also, the company VINTAGE makes some amazing basses for a couple hundred bucks!

No it’s in the FX loop of the Stomp, so the wet effects are all in stereo 👍🏻 I even use the reverb in the Tonex some, and will use the delays when they launch, so everything goes back to the Stomp in stereo

For trim, mine is just left at the +8.5 the pedal defaults to. What issues are you having?

@@churchmusicco I have some presonus monitors with a presonus interface. I can’t seem to get my Tonex dialed in for these monitors. It never sounds like an amp throughout playing. I’ve got HX Stomp with effects loop out to Tonex One with a Bad Cat capture and it’s either so low it sounds flat or so big it clips. I’ve tried turning the interface down and the monitors up, that seems to work well. Maybe I need to reset my Stomp and build new presets around the Tonex?

Definitely! There very little the One can’t do. I’d set it to switch between two captures that you like so you still get that flexibility, but you can TOTALLY run it just as viably with the little guy!

I used the Tone X alone last Sunday with the acoustic guitar, acoustic guitar IR, compression and a bit of reverb, sounded great! With the new update I am debating if I should leave the hx stomp at home for electric.

I’m excited about the new update too! I love the Helauxy Duo from Pedalnetics for my extra footswitches!

@@churchmusicco thanks for the name, Ive been looking for that foot-switch for a while but for some reason I couldn’t find it under $80!

It’s AWESOME. He just put out some combo baseplate + footswitch prints that look pretty dope.

I played around with it for a while. You can get really creative with the way you assign footswitches and I had it set to flip the stomp to snapshot mode for a while so I could go back and forth from stomp mode. It was a little clunky, and I prefer to run mostly effects bypasses on the footswitches now, with one set to boost decay and mix settings on the wet effects for swells.

I like the Transistor Tape and Vintage Digital for delays, and the dynamic plate and hall for reverbs. The Plate really wakes up when you pull the damping back to like 6.5-7K and cut out low up to 300ish.

Yes!! I forgot to mention it, I throw down a little DVP5 (X) 8 in between the wireless receiver and the stomp as a volume pedal! I want to try it as an expression pedal for the synth block on the stomp soon too for bass. I’m in Oklahoma in the US!

How are you running your synth?

I use the Yamaha Reface: saw wave, short attack, onboard unison/chorusing, filter back to halfway or so with the resonance boosted a little. It shares a stereo DI with the stomp

like i know its from the Yamaha CS but could you maybe make something for your keys patch or a seperate one please I would be eternally grateful 🙏
