    She is somewhat right all people in Italy speak Italian and understand each other but in the matter of what we are talking about, dialects are a particular form of a language which is peculiar to a specific region or social group in this case Italian. I speak as an Italian living in Italy and can understand Sicilian dialect, apulia dialect and Tuscan dialect, not everyone in Italy can understand most of dialects because they each have their own and particular differences. I was born hearing these different words, sound and different meanings, which most people haven’t had the chance of hearing before and aren’t familiar with them.

      People from the northern part of Germany can not understand people from the south, when they speak in their dialect. So she is correct. A dialect is somethin different than an accent.

    I'm going to give you this feedback to help you become better listeners/interviewers. You often are too busy looking at each other, making comments that aren't funny instead of listening to your guest and asking her follow up questions. For instance she refers to having to shut down her business overnight. Why? A blind viewer has no idea what she's talking about...what happened? I still have no idea why someone would suddenly need to shutter a business within a week's time. There's zero clarification on your part, zero follow up questions. We're just all supposed to magically know why she had to suddenly halt her business? Also there are NUMEROUS times throughout this where you cut her off when she is about to provide some information. For example, she said she was born in Sweden and came over when she was....she's about to say an age...and then she doesn't get to finish the sentence because you cut her off...and you clearly weren't listening in the first place because she trails off never finishing. Another time she's about to tell the story of how her parents met in Stockholm at 31:29 and you cut her off again instead of finding out how her parents met. You both keep looking at EACH OTHER and aren't actively listening to her. You are thinking about what YOU're going to say. Let your guests FINISH WHAT THEY ARE SAYING. Do not cut them off mid-sentence. Do not cut them off mid-topic. Clarify for the listeners. Ask questions. Listen to the answers. This is maddening as a woman to watch you keep cutting her off over and over and over again so you can hear yourselves talking. Good interviewers are good LISTENERS. You are making this interview about you throughout much of it. You are nervously laughing about things that aren't funny. This could have been a good interview, but I found myself frustated at this.

    It cracks me up that people that are restaurants keep saying that they can't find anybody to work for them. They can find plenty of people to work for them. They just can't find anybody willing to work for them for minimum wage anymore. You can tell a lot by a person by what they think of people that make it possible for them to earn money. The contempt in her voice when she talks about having to hire employees. Like oh, it used to be easy when I could pay them nothing. Everybody was willing to accept that but now I have to pay them a living wage and I can't take all the profit out of the business anymore.

    • @noprisoners
      @noprisoners 7 месяцев назад

      What do you pay your employees to help keep your restaurant fully staffed?

    • @michaelfrench3396
      @michaelfrench3396 7 месяцев назад

      @@noprisoners whatever a living wage is in my area. If people think that a service is needed and wanted then there needs to be someone to fulfill that need. Those people should not be forced to live in poverty because they do that work.

    It’s almost like running a business that relies on tips from customers to pay your staff is a bad business model.

    • @noprisoners
      @noprisoners 7 месяцев назад

      I dunno, seems like it worked for a longtime. If you pay everyone a “fair wage” you would actually see more restaurants go out of business and therefore even less job available because of the risk of paying everyone when it’s not busy, then they have to raise prices. It’s not a perfect system, but it works well when it does. Perhaps people are cheap with tips just as much as employers don’t want to pay a high hourly wage

    Hey fellow Veterans I think I finally realized why they put us on medication, it’s not even for us it’s because if we were our true selves they would never be able to stop us in anything we wanted to do.. be proud of yourself you didn’t have to lie and manipulate yourself through any system you got where you were by being solid and you are still breathing because there is no one more solid. Hooah. 2024 I said I was taking no prisoners that might include freeing myself. I have no idea if any of you ever have feelings like these but I get overwhelmed with them and I continue going about my day as many men do. A night where you keep doing the math “1230 to 330 that’s 3 hours if I fall asleep right now”. You went to bed at 9 why do you even have to do the math? Carrying the military with me the rest of my life sometimes can be painful. Idk it showed me my worth and taught you how to do the dance too. Sometimes I just get tired of dancing. 8 years in the civilian world has taught me some realities that I just wish I didn’t know.. I’m not even that smart of a man but Im smart enough to know that there’s good genuine people and there’s people that only want you for what you can give to them. I guess I’m just tired of giving and giving and ending up with a tired body and a tired brain from playing games just to survive. “This cows about out of milk” Know your value, do not be delusional and look out for yourself because you’re the only one looking out for you. Even through the smiles and high fives you still can go hungry while the whole time they pat their self on the back for giving you crumbs. That’s my “I won’t go to therapy” rant for the early 2024 season if any of my words offended you honestly at this point you should have blocked me a long time ago. Keep your head up. We all have battles but you know what I’m talking about.
