It's April at Port Townsend Washington, and before we go paddling we wanted to see how well our new NRS Hydroskin's would work if we fell in.

Widgeon Slough / Creek Paddle
Просмотров 157 часов назад
I went for a short paddle up Widgeon Slough (about 4km in, then back out) on a beautiful autumn day here near Vancouver. The launch spot is at the Grant Narrows boat launch near Pitt Meadows. If you go the full 5km in you get to the campsite and you can hike further from there to Widgeon Falls or Widgeon Lake.

Today I hiked the Diez Vistas Trail. It pretty much matches what I read in advance. It's a bit challenging and the rewards / views are kind are kind of limited. But I still really enjoyed it, it was a great challenge. I went up on a weekday (day after Canada Day) and I hardly met anyone along the trail.

Della Falls to Love Lake
Просмотров 10210 месяцев назад
Last summer I hiked to Della Falls on a 3 day / 2 night trip. Day 1 was hiking in, day 3 hiking back out. That leaves day 2 for this video, a day hike from Della Falls up to the shore of Love Lake. It's only 3km or so, but an elevation gain of 700 meters. Which makes it an average grade of more than 20%. Which for me is pretty steep. The hiking guide I used did list this hike as "challenging". ...
Golden Ears Park hike to Half Moon Beach

I backpacked the East Canyon trail in Golden Ears Provincial park to Viewpoint / Hikers Beach and then beyond to Half Moon Beach in late April. This is the closest backpacking location to Vancouver that I know of. You can hike in as little as 5km and camp on the river at Viewpoint / Hikers Beach, or go 10km to Half Moon Beach. After the first 5km the trail gets more rugged, but overall the hike...

    Thanks for your video. I have a KDTM404KPS and not getting any codes but a very loud humming type noise when washing. Does this model have 2 pumps, a drain and a circulation or just one?

      That doesn't sound good. Unfortunately I am not a technician so the video is only my experience. It did however take several tries and at first I missed the blinking light (it's the only light visible on my machine when the door is closed). It's possible the control board / brain itself has failed but I hear that's not common.

    Where you jack that and what was supporting your jack. I have to cut a 33 in back section on mine. Do I use a non rotted section 3 feet or so back to lift the slide

    • @Noob_bc
      @Noob_bc Месяц назад

      The slide typically has a metal frame that you should find as a jacking point, and even then I'd use some longish wood blocks on top of the jack. Underneath the jack I used a collection of 4x4 fence posts in a secure stack until my jack reached. And then when jacking, check closely to see that something isn't giving way. You can't lift the slide very much either, for mine I don't think I even got an inch...

    I have a Whirlpool WDTA50SAHZ0, and this was by far the best guide that addressed the issue I was having. Especially appreciated the tutorial on diagnostic mode, as I too would've been uncomfortable shelling out the $$$ for the new pump without solid evidence that it would fix the issue.

    Thanks for the great video. My dishwasher was acting all weird and would not start a cycle, other lights would just randomly flash. I tried resetting it multiple times by leaving it unplugged overnight and pushing the start button, which has usually fixed things when the unit gets stuck. But this time around, the unit was not able to be reset to work, and I thought it was permanently broken. Running your diagnostic sequence suggested worked, and then after that the machine is now able to wash dishes again. So running this seems to clear out problems more than a reset is able to do. Thanks for showing me a hint to fix my dishwasher!

    Does the white insulation wrap around the back of the dishwasher or is it only on the top and sides? Do you have the part # that it says on the green sticker? I am trying to find a replacement for mine, as the previous homeowner who installed this dishwasher removed the insulation

    • @Noob_bc

      The insulation is only on the top and sides if I recall correctly and was one piece. I don't have the part number but if you go here: www.appliancepartspros.com/ you can put your model number in and search the parts list for your dishwasher.

    • @Noob_bc
      @Noob_bc Год назад

      Pushing the buttons to get it into diagnostic mode is really quite finicky. It takes me multiple tries usually. If that doesn't work it's either not the right dishwasher (though it's worked that way a long time). Or the main logic board itself is dead. I don't know how to diagnose that one, sorry...
