Hoe Cake Bread. Lemme break it down. It's essentially a Pancake, instead of Flour, Cornmeal is used...

GOAT...
I love this song so much. I never knew that Otis' version was based on this. I remember this from the movie That Night. I used to love that movie to pieces; it would never pass the smell test post-90s 😂😂😂

Michael Jackson got fuck all on this
I love this song ❤just picked up on this gem in. 2024
I met the drummer, Melvin parker, once at a show for his brother, Maceo (longtime JB saxophonist), in DC. Though he was not performing, many people mistook him after the show for Maceo but I approached him and thanked him for his wonderful career of drumming and for being at the show. I was only 15 or so at the time and still being the only person to really recognize him, he was incredibly gracious. A true unsung pioneer of not only the funk and soul sound but the development of popular music in the US and abroad. I was incredibly emotional in 2021 at the time of his death. Our interraction meant the world to me; I have a paper menu from the show framed, signed by "drums". Rest in Peace Melvin Parker.
perfect song to drive my 1970 lincoln town car to!!

In real life she was a bad mother and a bad woman
😮 no
Just watched her film and she was nothing like she portrayed herself if it's true. She wasn't a good woman or mother or person
RESPECT!
How does this have only 2k views... these are 2 of the greatest musicians in US history...
So...anyone care to explain what did people see (and/or hear) in this guy? I mean, he was really good, but I just don´t get this god-like status this guy enjoyed. And please, don´t get me wrong: I really am trying to learn here. For some reason, us Mexicans don´t get it. See, this stage act of dropping down on his knees/having entourage folks come pick him up/covering him with a blanket/him starting to walk off the stage moving on tempo with the song/and throwing the blanket off to come screaming back to the microphone: I´m so sorry, but I´ve always found this incredibly hilarious. I saw a video of this for the first time when I was 13, and yes, at first it seems so dramatic, but after the third time they do it, I was rolling on the floor laughing.
Cancel Christmas, close it down, and send everybody else home.....RIP TO THE GAHTDAYUM GOD FATHER
