i really wanted to show love to this game but every time i look at nicole and nekomata model, i keep getting bitter taste in my mouth. it was such a great design but they just had to restrict it despite the 16+ rating. One had to wonder why they even go for that rating in the first place when they censor both the fan service and the violence aspect of the game. games like azur lane can get away with illustration and skins that are borderline porn and seems to do just fine with the same 16+ rating; Or say fgo which has 12+ rating but have shown decent amount of violence and heavy fan service on some characters too.

Hell yeah, that's Asukawa Taiyou's VA for ya. VANGUARD FANS, STAND UP.
The lighting and shadows are completely obliterated. The water is completely lost. Texture details has been completely lost. The volume of small elements is completely obliterated. Everything is now flat, soapy and monochromatic. It looks like there's now only a cheap and basic self-shader with one source of light remains.

hmm that is an game with anime characters it means i play it with the japanese voice simple as that. it doesn`t matter where the games comes from the characters are anime or manga characters and anime and manga are japanese founded. so it is easy too pick the right voice for it.
Ignoring the obvious uhh *censorship*, the lighting in cbt1 looks way more realistics and dynamic than the more washed out cbt2
it probably is a total revamp on the light system, instead of using something like disney equation it is now using a simplified full artistic control method like botw, which lets the game run A LOT smoother on lower end devices (unlike wuwa for example)
It's also pretty evident this game isn't going for realism

Jingliu is the only reason i finally switched to Japanese for Star Rail. Amanda Lee is a great actress but idk it's because of the directors or not, her Jingliu portrayal is impossible to tolerate. Kafka and March's English voices already boil my blood, so didn't look back.
