The saddest part of all this is the fact that average people nowadays seem to feel that it is ok to use profane, foul, and filthy language in normal conversation. It's no longer looked at by the younger generations as a thing that IS foul and profane. It seems now to be looked upon as a great way to cheer your team. The majority of those chanting this foul refrain, I'm sure, would not consider themselves to be foul and immoral people and would be shocked to have someone consider their use of that language to be indicative of their personal morality. it's different world we're living in these days.

Thus dude does not PLAY basketball for Univ Florida. He takes up space, on the bench and over the airwaves. If he played you'd have film to show us.

As a BYU fan, I just don't care anymore. This happens all the time from the student sections at various opposing venues. We are used to it, I'm more upset we lost than the F the Mormons chant. Any member of the Church should expect this to continue, Lehi prophesied about this. "Great and Spacious Building" baby. Hard to get offended when prophesy plays itself out. My fellow Mormons should not be offended, we all know the game.

The Santa Rita one forget this while we have our fantastic and beautiful place to live. I have Mormon Pioneer blood running through my veins, I was also born and raised in a very predominantly Mormon community just a couple minutes north of downtown Salt Lake City. And although I was treated differently because I was considered “none active” by my peers and neighbor’s … non-active means you don’t go to church every Sunday, so K-6 grade there are kids on my block who are not allowed to play with me for that reason and at that age you don’t understand what religion is and it really hurt me and I didn’t so I grew up and I started to date.. I literally had fathers ask me if I was planning on going on the LDS mission and I are by now and that was the last I was ever allowed to hang out with there daughter.. they won’t even give me the time of day to get to know me… .. and then after graduating high school when all of my friends are leaving to go on their LDS missions I would say a good 70% of them should not have even gone because they were either drinking or having sex with their girlfriends months weeks and even the night before they left to go to the MTC. And that really really made me mad because I’m all about practice what you preach and if I wanted to I could’ve served commission because I do not drink alcohol, I don’t gamble, I don’t drink coffee… but yet some of my very good dear friends were telling me that turn out well if I didn’t serve a mission yet they shouldn’t have even served a mission at all because of what they were doing… just realize that there’s good people and there’s bad people in this world saying that those people doing this things are bad people but obviously they’re lying to themselves to the bishops into the church if they ever said that there where “worthy”to go on a mission. I don’t hold any grudges against him and if I can go back to being 19 perhaps I would’ve gone on a mission it would’ve been nice to learn a second but I’m a product of my environment and Utah is a fantastic place to grow up and live and we also have the most beautiful women in the United States. I just makes me very sad to know that there’s people in this world B has an engineer the same people were chanting “F-k the Jews”, how that would be treated by the media I bet everybody chanting that would be kicked out of the school as well. Because last time I checked the people who chat “death to Israel” are called “terrorists”. And on a final note people need to get over the fact that yes back in the 1800s the church did have its members practice polygamy but those times have changed and then you have weirdos like Warren Jeffs files using this religion to slay under age gash. I always tell people I’m the most Mormon, none Mormon person you’ll ever meet… but after my mother did her 23 and me and the family stories about us having Pioneer Plaza turned out to actually be true. I wasn’t treated so horribly during my elementary years just because I wasn’t “active in the church “ To church and started a relationship with God that way but the damage was done and I had no intentions of letting myself become a part of something I will judges elementary school age kids are not being active in the church But I do believe that this type of horrible horrible behavior by the student body of Schools BYU visits the claim needs to stop and it needs to stop now.

As much as I don't think chanting "F Mormons" is the answer, we all need to admit that mormonism is truly the most offensive religion out there. They've taught slavery is a divine institution. They've taught handicapped people were wicked in a. pre-existence and that's why they came down with disability in their mortal life. Mormon leaders have sent men on missions and then impregnated the missionary's wives. Mormons teach if you leave their false religion terrible things will happen to you and they pray and hope for your downfall (no true Christians would ever do this, this is specific to Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, and Scientologists, and other Cult groups; this is demonic projecting real Christians would be ashamed to do.). So although these people's behavior chanting is wrong, the Mormon church is a group full of fallacious abuse that needs to be called out and held accountable for their egregious nonsense.

Providence is a Catholic College. Mormons are traditionally taught by LDS Mormon leaders that Catholicism is evil. So, some Catholics are defensive in regard to Mormons.

I was at the football game against Oregon when those chants started. Little did the students at Oregon know that there was an Oregon recruit and his family sitting next to the student section that was a member of the church. His father stood up and left with him and his family. The Oregon coaches called while they were driving home and apologized profusely. Dan Lanning addressed the chants after the game. The recruit still committed to Oregon and is serving his mission right now, but nobody would have blamed him for committing to another school. Lots of people seem to think that Mormons only live in Utah and only go to BYU when it’s likely that you have neighbors and co-workers who are LDS. I was with extended family at that game. Huge Oregon fans and all LDS. Several coaches on the Oregon team are LDS. When you attack Mormons, it’s likely you’re attacking some of your own people.
