Denali Electronics Series Part 4 | Pan America | Soundbomb Horn Install
Просмотров 2 тыс.9 месяцев назад
I continue the install of Denali Electronics products on my Pan America. I finally get the skid plate, crash bars and lowers back on the Pan America. I install the Denali Soundbomb Horn by hooking it up to the Dialdim wiring harness AND connecting it to the OEM horn with a pass through connection. I show how I had to troubleshoot the flag connectors that came with the horn kit.

Denali Rear T3 Install on Pan America
Просмотров 6 тыс.Год назад
I install Denali Electronics T3 rear turn lights on my 2022 Harley Davidson, Pan America. I show the process from start to finish. If you're thinking of installing the T3s or wondering if you're capable of doing this install yourself, watch this video. I hope this helps people who are thinking of doing this themselves.
I’m sure my 2024’s charging system would support all that lighting but I’d be very cautious about letting those run anytime the bike isn’t running on a 21-23 model Pan Am. I’d definitely keep it on a battery tender. Great video series. 👍🏼
That’s a lot of wiring to route and tidy up. I like their other products but I’m not sold on these. Very expensive for what they are and just require too much other accessories to run them. That’s a rectifier with the black fins on it fyi! Great video 👍🏼
Great job. Thanks for knowing how to utilize the phone camera to show close ups! 👍🏼
Question; How mush was the total investment for those lights...???
A little less than $250
Any reason you didnt go with the cansmart gen 2 adapter? I am planning a D7 Pro install to replace the blinkers on my bike and these videos have been helpful on how everything comes apart, thank you!
The main reason I chose the DialDim was I like the way I can visually see which circuit I'm controlling by the color on the DialDim-other than that they are both good options.
This has been a great series of vids! Business idea: tech support for people like me
Great video series. I found it very helpful and feel confident in doing the same to my Pan Am Thanks 26:49
Your a wiring genius! Want to do some of this to my 23 Special, but as you know riding this bike they put out a Lot Of Heat! that's what im worried about. Thanks for your vedio
😅😅😅
Where are your Blinkers ?
They are on my handguards (T-3's) and the DM amber lights act as blinkers also. I demonstrate them in the last 3 minutes of this video
I NEED THAT HORN ON MINE! lol, driving in VA is a hazard on its own
thanks for sharing this series of videos - I have ordered the Denali indicator/brake light set-up for the rear now; I have a few SW Motech and Wunderlich parts attached to my Pan Am and bought a dash cam that I have yet to fit
Awesome!
Thank you for the detailed explanation! Very clear to help me when I do my Pam Am.
Glad this helped you!
Thank you for this great video!, I just got a 2023 Pan Am and love it but and just ordered these lights!
Thanks. It took me longer than anticipated to get all the videos out but I did finally upload the last video in the series today!
I sold my 2023 lowrider ST for a 2024 pan america. I loved my Lowrider. Hope I love my panamerica when it's delivered.
If you put a piece of hose or tubing over your drill bit leaving a little over the thickness your drilling it will prevent the drill from being sucked in further than you want
Great tip-thanks!
thanks for video. what color are lights when braking? does braking color differ from turn signal color?
Braking and turn signals are demonstrated in video. Turn signal color is amber and brake color is red.
Thanks for your video! I ended up installing the T3s and the B6 w/CANsmart on my '22 PAS. I have the B6 programmed at 0% run, 100% stop with California flash (4 flashes then solid). Still deciding on what to put on the front, but it'll have a selective yellow lens.
your installations skills are nowhere near dodgy… thank you for the detailed tutorial,,, well done brother…
Do you mind if I ask what year your PA is? I ordered a setup from Denali and actually had this horn in my cart, but they emailed me and said it would not work in my '23 because of the heat shield. I'd have to cut a part of it off to get it mounted 🤦🏽♂️
My PA is a 2022 model- I don't have the heat deflector on mine but I am looking at getting an after market one that sits closer to the fan so it won't interfere with the horn.
I'm very happy with my soundbomb, but yeah... it's loud as hell!!! ;-)
True story- I was on the highway the other day and I hit my left turn signal after looking over my shoulder and seeing it was completely clear. A moment after I signaled I heard this loud truck horn and it scared me because I hadn't seen any vehicles around me. I looked around again before changing lanes and still didn't see anyone- I realized I accidentally hit my own horn and scared myself 🤣🤣🤣

Price of this model sir
Price will depend on how you choose to mount them but the T3 rear turn signal pods are $120.00
Why would you design a bike with the battery and electrics right behind the front wheel where’s it’s going to get covered in spray, stones mud etc ……madness !
Get a cover for it.
Nice tutorial, you may jot realize this but with d.c. current flows from the negative battery terminal to the positive terminal. Think of it - output + input. Therefore we will disconnect the negative terminal from a battery first.
@@joshuacatron2 thanks for the tip!
@@joshuacatron2 You are dangerously wrong. Functionally, electricity (current) flows from positive to negative in a DC circuit. Yes, free electrons of the conductor flow toward positive, but that is not useful for functional understanding of DC circuits. You remove the negative first, because the entire chassis of a vehicle functions as a negative bus bar which would be easy to bump with a tool while trying to remove the positive cable from the terminal. Bumping the chassis with a tool has no effect if you've first removed the negative cable, which separates the chassis from the negative terminal electrically.
For further reference, when drilling plastic and you are stepping up in bit size, have your drill on the slowest setting and already spinning before entering the existing hole and it won’t get pulled in like it did. I’d have also used 2 tiny bolts with castle nuts to secure the pod to the hand guard so I wouldn’t risk scraping a knuckle or finger every time I reach inside them. Just my 2 cents. Great video by the way. 👍🏼
Great post Thanks - ordering today!
Probably one of the best DIY videos I’ve watched. Your pace was perfect, very good camera work, and a pleasant, soothing voice. You most definitely picked up a subscriber.
Thanks!
In case I want to use the factory turn signals along with the T3s then where would those get plugged in ? Is it in the blank pass through?
Thanks, I was a bit uncertain about the T3's because of the European standards, but I think I'm going to give it a go. Not sure yet if I'm going to lose the standard turning light yet. Is the special connecting harness also right for fitting them together with the standard turning lights?
I would have fitted the T3's in the vertical middle of the hand guard part. You did not, is there a reason for that? And I don't like the fact that the screws are coming through the hand guards. It can hurt your hands... or not?
Denali had them lined up with the top of that extruded center area so I did the same. It also makes it easy to keep the T3's looking level by aligning them to the top of the extruded area. But of course you can install them in a way that suits your preference. The screws do not come anywhere near your hands so its not a problem. They barely protrude through the plastic-just enough to make the lights secure.
Just purchased the rear T3s for my Pan America as the rear light is woeful. The video will make installation a breeze. Well done.
Thanks buddy
I contemplated the SoundBomb but was told by Denali that I'd have to cut into the heat shield to make it fit. That turned me away from it.
You must have a 2023 model? My 2022 doesn't have the heat deflector that the new models do. If you ever changed your mind I imagine you could get one of those after market deflectors that fit right over the fan and then remove the OEM deflector to install the horn. I also read in a forum where someone said they were able to remove the OEM horn and install the SoundBomb in its location.
@@MonMattMotoTravels-dj9ry I mounted an after market heat shield on my 2021, so I just have to get rid of that again. Mounting the sound bomb next week with the special bracket.
