What an insult to real musicians! Norrington is a clown!
what a nut he is for tweed hee hee.
It worked, Why split hairs?
Graham looks like Harry Potter holding a guitar instead of a wand in this clip. Wearing square glasses instead of round glasses...👓
harris tweed the great cloth of scotland, i wear my 8 panel caps and waistcoats, for life. thank you harris tweed of scotland.
Paul Weller at 0:15 whats he laughing about? looks like a smirk towards Graham or something?
this guy is the monty python of tweed.
I love the Cockney walk.
You are flying to the Hebrides? You should know better, chap. Train and ship are the means of transport for a Tweetist, particularly when coming from near-distance London. Handmade products like Harris Tweed are climate-friendly, let us not ruin our carbon footprint by using a plane 😃
I think I'll go to the Outer Hebrides and eat a sandwich from a plastic packet.
Mans club
Nothing like genuine Scottish Tweed!
I was playing in the band during this episode.. For me the surreal momenr, as one of the older members, was thinking how is never thought I'd get to meet David Soul. I was too young during the 70s to be a fan but, at the same time, never thought , I would ever get to meet, in person, someone who was arguably one of tbe biggest tv stars in the world.
Lol, Vic is bonkers
Too much 'humorous' approach.
i'm going to die because 1) dominic seldis is adorable 2) the music is so nice and beautiful and I love it and I want to do something with music in my life but I can't because I'm not good enough at any one instrument 3) all the other seasons of maestro are either in swedish or in dutch and I don't speak either language 4) I can't find the other episodes online 5) did I mention that classical music is amazing and I will forever have an unsatisfiable yearning to make music in my heart but my violin sounds like a cat being pulled by its tail and my flute sounds like a really airy pan flute and i can't find the right keys on the piano so any endeavour to pursue music in my life is cursed and doomed to fail from the very start
Luckily I'm Dutch so I can at least watch some of it (and yay we have Dominic <3 ), but even in the Netherlands they don't have previous seasons online to rewatch :o I just started watching this season. And now discovered the original BBC concept but barely anything online :o
"As an orchestral musician, we don't get a lot of beautiful conductors" lmaooooo then again have you ever fucking SEEEEEEEEn dudamel? his hair is almost as good as yours and he's beautiful as. and so is the lady sitting next to you.
I think they both conducted the Dance of the Knights way too aggressively. After all, it's a dance, not pure war. There was no need to give every impulse like the impact of a cannonball. Look at the way Gergiev does it: ruclips.net/video/Z_hOR50u7ek/видео.html I'm not saying I'd expect Gergiev level conducting from them and they actually did quite well compared to their first performances, but still, I love the way that his movements change to more dance-y, free ones rather than harsh beats after the first couple of bars. It takes some of the incredibly heavy weight away and that really would've improved the candidates' performance in my uneducated opinion.
What a sweet guy. And you can tell that he’s got the passion for the music, he just doesn’t know how to command the orchestra yet, but he knows how it’s supposed to sound
Came across this by accident. What a nice little documentary, entertaining and informative. Thanks for posting.
Do you have any more episodes of this to watch? I am loving this series and so sad to not find any more full episodes x
£400? I’ve done more than that on a single Harris Tweed Jacket...fantastic clothing though, may it live on.
I love tweed, always feel like I’m in one of those dramas when I wear mine. Lol
The period piece that never goes out of style.
wait the cousin's name is jon snow!
DAKINGINDANORF!
I feel exactly the same as Vic about tweed.
Although i'm French, I love my Harris Tweeds . Nothing else like it. I like mine mainly in blue, green, red. Went to the Outer Hebrides but never to Harris. It's on my bucket list though.
Just like riding a bike
2:04 Cockney walkabout
That Scottish Weaver was a cool guy, laid back easy going.
Donald John Mckay is a celebrity in the "Tweed world". He was awarded an MBE by the Queen in 2012.
a lack of lichen
I love this man!
He's so sweet.
Fucking time for bed man fuck me
hahaha
Harris Tweed is made in China
they do a rubbery tweed
All those suits yet on terrible hangers! Invest in some decent ceder hangers Vic.
lmpoverished children in China do a nice cheap tweed
Love it. Thank you
Next time I canoe Arkansas's Primortial, and mysterious Black River...Perfect mood, and vibe for that trip....The river, and surrounding geology goes back before the time of the dinosaurs, and has a whole plethora of prehistoric fish, and rock formations.....
Does anyone have any links of where to get this series?
the bald guy is good
Best part in 6:28
interesting
Yeah, I wish the other episodes were available. I'm loving this.
Those who love tweed watch this video and completely understand what is going on.
This makes me love tweed more than ever :)
