Just installed mine correctly to my split charge system it monitors fine when the engine is off but as soon as you start the engine it registers everything being used buy the van as well ie fans lights etc

Staked joints on propshafts -- the tool is a sharp flat screwdriver with a hammerable cap, you just knock a tiny little nib in to hold the cap. It's a production line bodge to save a penny, I'm shocked to see it on a Mercedes, they're supposed to be quality!

The plate that sits on top of the spring where the u bolts sit is called a spring saddle. I hope the new axle is ok although I do wonder about the prop as they are balanced & will cause vibration if not right! Hope the road test proves all good & well done Max.

Its looking good ,how did you resolve the red oxide /black over paint issue on axle ,I've used the s fix red oxide its good but always find it takes a good 18 to 24 hrs to set ,that was in summer temps ,you mentioned he oil base black was washing it ,what paints are best then over red ox primer ? Cheers

UJs are normally spring washers, the expand into a slot? I'll send you a pic.

You can expand the bearing by wrapping it in a pretty damp cloth and bunging it in a microwave.

I think smaller wheels would be a good idea for rose it would take a lot of stress off the running gear and give you lower gears better braking and you wouldn't have to climb up as high to get in 👍
