Ive always seen people talk about how titanfall was built off the source engine. Being familair with it i was always surpised by how it felt impossible to tell. But seeing the games bugs and developer bits really highlights that good old spurce jank lol.

I'm a vehicle person so I'm curious, got anything about the non-Titan vehicles in the game? I recall the dropship weapons are player usable. Even having image reference for the vehicles would be cool.

8:40 I'd guess its referred to as the "titanfall" skybox because it matches the style of several TF1 maps, namely relic and backwater

I think the titanfall skybox was an attempt to make the area you’ve been in different to hide the fact you’re just teleporting between spots but got cut for “looking too weird”

I use a custom icepick mod that allows me to spawn "vanguard" titans that use the same paint as BT, and from what ive seen, they can move really freely, because if one or two vanguard gets attacked, it attracts them for some reason, and yes they can jump on the little hanger bay, and also on the draconis

I am really interested in how much did respawn change in source engine for apex or titanfall. I wonder how they solved optimization for large open worlds
