Was totally obssessed with this album, the first three albums in fact....though GATS was the first one i heard and saw them on the GATS tour, changed my life....then THB in 94 which blew me away entirely.....watching them perform THB live in 94 was a high point in my life. Then i went back to the first album GT and that blew me away too. Roses in the Hospital, La Tritesse Durrera, Life Becoming a Landslide, Despair to Where.....life changes, turned me upside down.....for the better, though i was pretty alienated from everyone around me at the time.

All the songs on this album are awesome, love No Surface All Feeling, Removables, Interiors, SBFTGITS, Further Away, Design for Life, Kevin Carter, Australia.....i used to do Australia, Design for Life, SBFTGITS, No Surface, Interiors........little bit of trivia...i was once wrongfully "sectioned" in 1999, persuaded the staff to let me have my acoustic brought in....ended up performing SBFTGITS to a ward full of acute mental health patients and staff along with the Afghan Whigs song "Crazy".....went down rather well.....if only i could still sing like i could back then haha!!!!!

Couple of band recommendations for you pal.....we have a similar taste. Afghan Whigs "Gentlemen" "Black Love" "1985" "Do to the Beast" "In Spades" "How Do You Burn" albums......lead singer is called Greg Dulli, he had another band called Twilight Singers....two of their albums to go for "Dynamite Steps" and "Powder Burns" both awesome....and he also did a solo album called "Random Desire" which is also awesome. Would also love to hear a lot more of the Jam and some The Who covers too!!! At the moment i'm loving Lord Huron and Manchester Orchestra. Lord Huron, all their albums and their "Alive at Whispering Pines" lockdown renditions. Manchester Orchestra albums..."Million Masks of God" and "A Black Mile to the Surface"
