F = MV^2. Note the V squared part of the equation. When wind speeds hit 300MPH plus the power is unimaginable. Thats why cars and even heavy trucks offer no real protection. You just become air borne. The twistex team were the best of the best, they were just at the wrong place at the wrong time with the most unpredictable tornado there has ever been. RIP guys we will always miss you.
Amateurs, take heed.
cool. (please pin)
I rewatch this and it still blows my mind away
Me
As an avid watcher of storm chasers and a critic of Tim's "overly safe" approach to storm chasing... The news that HIS team lost their lives in a storm was unbelievable and heartbreaking.
😂😂😂
The last time I saw a tornado was in2022 I thought there’s no point I’m dead
El Reno was a record setting Tornado that established unpredictability. No matter how smart anyone is, there's always an unknown variable to the calculus of a tornado. I guess the smartest ones were the first ever storm chasers to become casualties of the storm they chased. It is because of those three that history was made and their legacy will continue on. To the storm chasers and all that have interest in meteorology, never forget the sacrifice of those three brave men!
Bro’s on heat level 5 on most wanted 05
🤣🤣
This tornado should have never been chased it was just way to dangerous. It seems like the entire supercell came on the ground while rain rapped
this was absolutely painful to watch. Jacqueline Obradors played Stacey Vetter perfectly. sad she didnt get more screen time. she was a beautiful, smart wife. made her own scented candles.
The perfect body remains perfect watever outfit worn.❤
Hell yeah!
If you go to the 8:18 mark you will see another dead man walking tornado. My wife just caught it as we were watching. Crazy
Bottom line is complacency. The ones who got hit were complacent. They let their guard down for that ten seconds and that’s all it took. So many times we’ve seen Tim and his team back away or get to safety first before proceeding with their next options. This tornado gave them nothing. It gave them no time to act. They had to have the perfect escape and the second a mistake was made or they let up it reached out and grabbed them. What is scary is the size of the cobalt before and after being hit by the tornado. I thought that it actually pulled one or two of them out of the car. With their seatbelt still fastened. I think it’s safe to say they were ripped apart. But their love for weather especially tornadoes and finding out the most information coming from them wouldn’t let them back down. Let’s be honest and say that you have to have some grit to ya to do what they did. Sometimes loving what you do can blind you from the dangers of chasing them. But even like the guy said their last words weren’t of them scared but excited for the once in a lifetime storm they could get good information from. RIP to the twistex team.
😞
If I ever saw a cloud like that, I would head so fast in the opposite direction I'd be a blur...then I'd go change ma drawers!!🤣
Someone got their license in Gta5
Fr🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What’s with these guys screaming and yelling, like they are surprised at their circumstances.
I understand that all storm chasers compete for the best chase but in times like these, they should be able to communicate with each other to maybe save more lives. RIP to Tim, his team, & everyone else who lost their lives.
If you choose to f*ck around and, as a result, you find out... I don't feel bad for you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I heard that one guy say "he wasn't an adrenaline junkie, he was a serious scientist"... sure, Jan. I'm sure he was forced into being a storm chaser 😐😐😐 Storm chasing is, in every sense, playing chicken with mother nature. Let's not pretend otherwise.
Dead man walking at 8:18 on video right side of 1st tornado. It's fast but watch it... reminds me of Jarell TX tornado.
5 miles from el reno. As tragic as this is, I love storms. They are devastating but amazing. Storm season is my favorite. I was in active labor this day with my little tornado baby. As an okie we watch from the porch.
I love storms too! I chase them on my bike! I just recently chased Hurricane Milton, and it was awesome!
Driving blind on the tornado😮
"Actually, I think we're in a bad spot." One of the most tragic last words I've ever heard someone say. Rest in peace TWISTEX team. You were legends in the chaser community.
This was one storm that was more dangerous than any hyperbole that and scriptwriter could add.
Another face 17:31 in the clouds.
Yeah i see the face. like death💀
This happened in my hometown I used to live in the double wide trailer beside the car dealership lord that was a funny ass day 😅 they got him 1 hours later and had 2 different towns chasing him🤦🏻♀️
🙏🏿RIP to those who lost their lives
My god, I hope Dave stopped taking Heidi along. Good grief. She wants to chase tornados and screams the whole time. Yes, it’s terrifying but don’t go along. I’m sorry but she really got on my nerves.
Heidi is one of the best storm chasers there is. She's been a legend since the early 2000s. Her and Dave have been good friends since they were originally mods on the tornado videos website.
Rest In Peace Twistex Team. Tim Paul, and Carol. My condolences go out to their family and friends.
If you flip out or freak out on a dime, please stay home. See Pecos Hank for examples of staying calm in stressful moments. Screaming like a 4 year old girl doesnt make your video exciting it just exposes your irrational nature to everyone watching.
Where in perfect position HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!moments later runs for his life 😭😭😭😭
Yeah, perfect position to get sucked up by a tornado!
So glad someone uploaded this again. I couldn’t find this anywhere online
I'm not going to spoil you... fyi❤
Woah, watch from 8:15 to 8:20 at 0.5 speed to the right of the Tornado it looks like the second Tornado forms into a person and is walking!
The tornado seemed to have a mind of its own. It was playing cat and mouse with the chasers. THAT is the most terrifying thing about this monster in my mind.

Exactly. Especially after one of the sub-vortices lunged out at TWISTEX, then hovered over them for 22 seconds! That's crazy. R.I.P. TWISTEX. R.I.P. Richard Henderson and others who lost their lives that day.
@balmpatchvideos Huh??

Saw this in a Mr demaio video when I was 5
8:18 did that vortex turn into a dead man walking for like a split second?
Yes, Yes it did.
Its nice to see a version up, there appears to be a lot of cuts and zooms to the original which I assume is to get around it getting auto flagged.
Yeah, I edited it like that to avoid copyright. But I still got flagged, so I disputed the claim. National Geographic didn't respond in the 30 days, which resulted in the release of the copyright claim. THANK GOD!
@@BigDColeman Thank goodness, its a great documentary and one which I believe everyone deserves the right to see and understand as it's quite honestly a life changing perspective into tornado's. Thank you very much for the upload and all the efforts to get this on RUclips. Much appreciated!
OMG...this was terrifying to watch...i cant even imagine what it was like in person 😢
O hell nah man wtf
@@gabrielataide7043 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember watching this guy since I was 5 lol
Pornstar ❤
Im still confuse about the rating of this mega tornado, Just EF3? Man!! Look at the dead walking man Formation, the Wind speed?, The chaos? deserve A EF5 Rating
Highly agree! 295MPH EF5
@deyontecoleman2163 also the size , im still chilling about the size of this tornado
It's crazy to think this was the widest tornado on planet Earth! 2.6 miles wide!
When a sub-vortex containing winds of 200+mph that is whipping around a mother tornado a mile and a half wide at over a hundred miles per hour pauses for twenty-two seconds in its journey to make sure it takes out a small white car, that's not bad luck, it's Fate. RIP all those lost in this one. We can study nature until we're green in the face, collect data, study more, figure things out, and even predict it to an extent. We cannot afford to forget that Earth's weather is larger than we ever will be and can be insanely unpredictable in ways we cannot fathom.

@35:35 😮😮😮😮
Why wasn’t Tim in one of those big ass trucks he has? Why were they in a shitty Cobalt?
