The Liberty Tree Guitar, Taylor Guitars
I own the #10 Liberty Tree guitar and I treasure it. I was aware of quite a bit of this history, but not all of it... I am in awe of the Taylor team to accomplish what they did. Great video. Thank you Bob Taylor for your vision and desire to save such an amazing piece of history! ❤
wow! awesome piece of history! glad i came across this!
So beautiful! Thank you! ❤ july 4, 2024 11 am
The Flintstone play set was amazingly good as was the Fonzie Car shop❤ Incidentally ive got a restored Fonzie on a short on my channel if you'd care to take a look 😀
Yesssssss
The best the 70s
57:30 **Shows airplane** “IT’S THE COLLAPSING TOWER” there’s a couple things wrong with that…
Someone clearly didn't do their research on Mister Fantastic's powers.
Check out those funkadelic jams in the Starsky & Hutch ad ! Too cool ! Oh wow , they got Huggy Bear , too ?!? Lol Man , I didn't have these (didn't want 'em) but had all the Star Trek figures , a lot of the Planet of the Apes , Action Jackson and between my brother and myself , most of the super hero ones (I still have The Thing's "suit" 48 years later) , and there were A LOT of super hero ones . Not by Mego but we had a lot of original GI Joe stuff too . I think it was '72 when the very first Megos hit adding more every year . I was 6 that year....so yeah . I don't remember that Fonzie one , or I wouldve wanted that (later 70s , I guess) cos I was/am huge fan of The Fonz ! Aaaaaayyy !
Wow 28:50
Toy rebranding. Hilarious.
This wonderful song dovetails with the theme songs of Japanese tokusatsu shows in the early-1970’s.
A they saying Blacktion Jackson.? And fucking bronco. 😳
👏👏👏
Rip 🪦 Mego Corporation
Mego was great. I was lucky enough to have been a kid in the 70’s. Mego provided the action figures we provided the imagination. Mego superhero line was inexpensive and the countless hours spent were great.
My parents were smart. My brother and I had a room for our toys that we called "The play room". It was a collection through the years of the popular stuff of the time (the late 60's- mid 70's), and I have never seen any of this stuff in the USA. Is it Europe?
Looks like an Amazing wedding
What a Great Toy Company Mego was. They thought of a lot of great figure lines, and the commercials were just as exciting (music and all). I like the Narrators & Presenter too. I wish they would've focused more on the 3 3/4 O-Ring scale figures like Hasbro did with GiJoe. Marty was/is a Genius Man!👍
One bass player per band is more than enough 😜
ACTION JACKSON IS HIS NAME, MUFF'IN DIVIN' IS HIS GAME! ALL THE MUSTACHE RIDES FOR FREE, JUST CALL ON MEEEEE!
Think of what you wanna be, and call on meeee!: *I WANNA BE A FAMOUS PORN STAR THAT GETS TO NAIL TRACI LORDS, AND LINDA LOVELACE, BEFORE HIV/AIDS IS INTRODUCED BY THE CIA TO RUIN EVERYTHING FOR EVERY GENERATION AFTER MINE!*
* where the heck is this original film to get a proper transfer... somebody has the original film somewhere... maybe one day it will surface.... God willing*
I was born in 72. I loved these toys so many memories.
Can't wait for Halloween 🎃
The 70's were so unique. The toys were awesome. Us kids didn't have the PS5's X-Box One, but it never mattered. I remember my imagination, my action figures, and my fun was all I needed. So many great times. Hell even the little green army men sets. SST's racers, Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle, and my biggest favorite TYCO/AFX slot🏁🏎🏁Racing🏁! These days had heart and true fun. Mego's World's Greatest Superheroes line-up was my other top toy. 🕷🕸Spider-Man🕷🕸, Thing, Human Torch, Hulk, Captain America and the Falcon, Green Goblin, Lizard, Iron-Man, Batman, Robin, Joker🃏, Penguin🐧, Superman, and my rare ones, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Wondergirl, Speedy(little Green Arrow, but red), and Green Arrow 🏹. O many more, and so much fun. Add the Planet of the Apes into it. Even Star Trek and you'd have a great time for a Battle Royale. Ah fun days as a kid.
You lost me on all the action figures. GI Joe was all I had. But the Tyco-Pro and I think Aurora slot cars, Cox nitro planes, cars, trike, the SST racers of course, (you forgot the "smash-em Crash-em Derby" cars.). We had toys that taught us to build things too. Erector sets, (very mechanical, worth big bucks today) Lincoln Logs, Leggo's, Chemistry sets, model rockets with solid fuel engines, radio kits, Balsa wood airplanes, Play dough fun factory, all kinds of models. We had toys that inspired solid careers in free enterprise. We were inspired by real science, not political science.
Now I watch the commercials cause tv sucks today
Bought a vhs copy of this back in the mid 90’s..Now watching this takes me to nostalgia twice..I remember Seeing these as a yougin in the 70’s..And again watching it with my kids(when they were young)in the 90’s..Where does the time go?
I remember that "Action Jackson is my name" line from the "Mitchell" episode of MST3K, and that's the first context I've ever gotten for it.
What was the context?
@@RoyalKnightVIII Joel is about to be executed by the Mads. During a break he and the Bots are dressed like soldiers and they sing "Action Jackson is my name!"
You are correct I remember the same it's a M.E
8:00 Action Jackson seems to have stolen Dynamite's beach house.
CB McCall is my favorite superhero
Nice shoots. Thanks for posting!
MONTAGEM
Thanks for a great time back in my childhood!!
Guess they had to say Mr. Fantastic could turn invisible, since they hadn't figured out how to stretch him (should've made him a smaller version of Stretch Armstrong).
Interesting ,this ain’t commercials, this is marketing for retailers, video presentations for retailers
Bwlakshun Jackson is my name!
Is he singing blacktion jackson?
Epic! Looks like an awesome time
So cool! Did you see any Draculas walking around?
WOW thank you so much for putting this all together! ♥
"I smell an astronaut!" LMAO
Pause it at 13:41. Between the G and the O. Is that Dracula? It looks like it could be made into one.

Nice! Thank you.
That guy who introduces the Action Jackson and Dynamite figures -- was that something people actually saw on network TV, or was it one of those films Mego only showed in-house to their employees to help them promote the figures?
It's for retailers of the time (Kresge, Wards) to get the details of the new mego stuff.
I love that the MGM Oz commercial was literally just the movie abridged.
