Ooo 💃💃💃💃wow sway sway ❤️velvet🌈
Dunno what that was. Was not bad. Imma call it Folksy Fine Picking. Banjo Blue Sway? Working on the genre name. Folk Grass...nah. Still working on it.
Gospel grass, check out other songs on this 6 track EP, some really rockin', almost rockabilly
Label based at 415 Summit St. Piqua, OH
Haha i have had different singles with that guy George Jay’s stamp too I wonder who he was
Great thanks. 👍
Released October 25, 1963. Produced by Rolling Stones manager/producer Andrew Loog Oldham. Keith Richards on percussion (claves).
Poignant lyrics , sensitively sung . Gets the thumbs up from me .
This guy is the real deal in country music! Thank you for posting.
Haven’t heard this since the early sixties. Thank You
For a mediocre movie, that had some fun ones on the soundtrack (especially I Fell For Your Line Baby.)
A great record, Tapio. I've heard that George hated the record so much that he broke a copy when some rockabilly fan brought it up to him for an autograph. Have you ever heard that story or know who it happened to? it's incredibly valuable record now -- and it wasn't cheap when I first heard it in 1975!
I've heard the same story, but I don't know whose record it was. It's really a great record, raw and wild guitar breaks and Thumper screams. I uploaded this, because there seem to be uploads where guitar is louder and in front. Here on the 78 everything is more in balance. The record is very loud too, no hiss at all like on Starday 45s.
Nice find. This was missing when I blogged Fable (CA) on anorakrockabilly45rpm Never seen this label or a Fable with the centre intact. so double good one. Thank you for saving the forgotten sides Dean
Wow! Very Cool Tremolo Guitar Sounds! Smacks of Surf Style Sound with a Country Infusion!
Is this original version of the song?
No, Gene & Eunice recorded it in 1954 and there were over 20 versions of it in 1955. ruclips.net/video/WWlK2XEqL0M/видео.html
Luv it!
OH OH WOW💃💃💃💃LOVE♥️VELVET🌈
The music and voice is a lot like Johnny Cash.
OH💃💃💃💃OH SWEET CUTE CUTE🌹VELVET🌈
Pretty good . Lyrics might seem cynically moralistic , but they reflect a sad reality that perhaps is even more pronounced today than back in the late sixties when this song was written .
Great to see the NBT label get some exposure here . Multiple rockabiily Hall of Famers have recorded for this label , and I'm pretty sure the artist featured here , Vernon Taylor , is one of them . He also has the creditable distinction for having had releases on the iconic Sun record label .
another missing track from when I blogged ESV (OH) on anorakrockabilly45rpm thank you Dean
Hjumor is hjumor 😂
Like it 🎉
ok

Bela porcaria
what year is this?
1964
Madman Jones - If we only knew if his alias was longtime Cameo-Parkway saxophonist Buddy Savitt!
Another Cincinnati label that only stayed regional, unlike King and Fraternity. It was only when a major label bought the master that the record went national. Don't know who owned ESV or if they changed to another label.
As good a honkytonker as I've ever heard !
What a winner ! And one gets one's monies worth with this great recording as it runs for three and a half minutes or so .
Man! I love this song!
Rather seductive . Thought it was just OK on the first hearing but listening to it now for the third time it's becoming addictive . Great !
Thanks for the nice comment. Truly great record, sounds like it could've been recorded 10-15 years earlier.
I've got his Grandpa's Twist
Cool spin! Thanks for posting, Tapio!
🙃😳😣🥰😭😊😳😎👍📀
Sounds like a Fabian imitator. Was this recorded in New Orleans?
No, he recorded in Hollywood. Goldstar, Radio Recorders, etc.
@@djmoonkat Like a Black Elvis on his other 45's, Jimmy Breedlove, Otis Blackwell teritory
First time I've heard this!
Good guitar break. Surprisingly tough to find considering it was released on a major label. It was first issued on maroon label, so I guess it must have sold enough that they did a reprint with new label. Robert Plaisted/Bobby Please was a hopping from one L.A. label to another recording only one single for each: Era, Flip, Starla, Imperial, Jamie, Doré.
Love the sax which really made the record what it was and this vocalist is a cross between Fabian & Elvis.
Recorded in August 1949.
Thanks for the flip
OH DREAMY BEAUTIFUL THIS ANGEL.❤️VELVET🌈
Great guitar work in this one.
Thank you this is from 1969 and was missing when I blogged Style Wootons cameo label on anorakrockabilly45rpm.blogspot. If we could maybe fill another gap in camaro with the flip "Hypocrisy ? Thats be good Dean

Just a fine number...! 🕵🏻🎶🙂👍
Sounds exactly like the issued take to me (indeed matrix number 1914)... For comparison: ruclips.net/video/utWUhSLlBl0/видео.html
Super song (a stroll). Love the Hollywood label, too! Thanks for sharing. ~!~LRG
Tämän savolaisversion Tiikerihaista tällä salanimellä on muuten laulanut TV:n 'Lähimmäinen'-ohjelmassa 1960- ja osaksi vielä 1970-luvulla mukana keskustelemassa esiintynyt kirvesmies Matti Keinänen... 🕵🏻
Keinänen lienee savolaissanoituksen takana, mutta salanimen takana on rakennusmestari Pentti Kaikkonen, joka oli mm. Aikamiehet -mieskuoron jäsen.
A cross between Dick Curliss Buck Owens & Jerry Lee Lewis.
