As Hwei, we have 0 mobility as you mentioned. That's why I am always staying out of the range in the team fights, because we have so much range! If we get in to the range we will probably get one shotted! If there are no visions in the map, never go to there! Always wait your support or tank to go! Luden + Horizon focus combo is being pretty good. But nowadays I'm not going for Luden's too! Burn items feels so strong for Hwei, atleast for me! But when it comes to range you are so right, Hwei gets so much benefit from Horizon Focus. I will build it more often, even though Rabadon gets nerfed it is still pretty of because of the extra Ability Damage. If the enemy team is not building magic resistance, Rabadon is a pretty great option!

QQ is better if there is nothing else to block it and also it does pretty good burst damage, QE is better for aeo damage, if you want to push your lane + poke, it's a pretty good option! You can use both of these skills!

Be careful when he has W, you can be aggressive until he becomes 3. If you hurt him during the lane he can’t find back afterwards

You can make him use his W and then you can make your combos! But matchups like Yasuo/Irelia is pretty hard because of their mobility. You don't have to always win your lane by killing them! Just survive and scale, you can be useful in the teamfights! Which will make you win your game eventually!

which one are you?

I personally go arcane comet with precision secondary coup de grace and presence of mind for manna after kill and regen in lane with transcendence mana flow and gathering storm I like it over scorch but I use scorch if I have to fight an early game champ. I also use first strike if I am against a mele lane like yone or talon. Just wanting your thoughts on this an one more thing do you have any tips for fighting a fizz and yasuo I struggle against fizz super hard and for yas it’s just his stupid wind wall

Aery is pretty good if you can poke your enemy with your auto attacks! It's sometime so hard to get a kill in the high elo, that's why presence of mind is not always so useful. Fizz is our hard counter and you can get one shotted once he hits 6, you can poke him very hard until he becomes lvl 3. Just scale afterwards don't get in range. Yasuo is also very hard to kill because of his windwall. Against these match ups I am trying to scale for the late game. Because we are very weak in the early game and they can kill us pretty quickly.

against malzahar just scale, wait untill he pops out the voidlings. And kill all of them they are free gold for us. You can buy "Fated ashes" as first item, you will burn him even after the trade and it will take so much time for gaining that spellshield back. If he is playing so safe, just push the lane and check out your jungler or your bot lane, get objectives, etc.. You can have so much impact to the game if your enemy is so passive!

but he is so weak in the range and also you can get oneshotted so easily against a strong assassin

To elaborate his only decent range spell is his sun strike or qw I believe and his ult and his ult is so slow moving it’s easy to dodge and same goes for sunstrike every ability gives up something for something range for speed or coverage for speed and same goes for his cc the crushing maw is fast but short range and only last for a very shoot time his eq is good but only for single targets and his ew has good coverage and a longer cc time but it’s only a root and is slow as well the most unfair abilities he has are his w spell the the guaranteed mana regen and bonus damage the regenerating shield helps so much for dives and his movement speed ability are all very good with no clear drawback apart from not being able to cast everyone of them at the same time. That’s not even counting the fact you have to get used to how he cast spells and his weakness to characters like xerath or zed. He may seem overloaded or broken if you don’t truly understand him but he is not he is not like kasante who has a million dashes another dashe that makes him cc immune and does massive true damage or his consistent damage cc and an isolation tool with his ult.
