Just curious. Won't the seam up top, but without the entire seam sealed with foil tape still result in warm air getting to the cold pipe and still result in condensation on the pipe? Only now with the bubble wrap "keeping the drips from going through", it would hold the water there longer resulting in saturated fiberglass and later, rusted duct. I do love this insulation, though. Cheaper than fiberglass, at least at our supplier; no itching; lighter weight; and easy to seal seams on long lengths of pipe.

I am wondering if this would work. 1) What vacuum are you using? - you stated in the comments: Ridgid shop vac - do you remember the horse power? are these vacuums heavy? did you have to pause the vacuum to prevent overheating? is there a certain wand attachment I need for suction of the bag? 2) Why are you walking on the mattress? Amazing footage! That looks like a large fish (do you know what kind?) the bird caught! The fish was struggling, but the hungry Heron managed to fully consume (alive?!) it all okay? It looked like the unlucky thing was desperately kicking a bit before sliding down that long throat! I wonder, does the sizable fish stand any chance of escaping if eaten in that condition? Maybe it can turn around inside the elastic throat/stomach and has a chance of survival here.
