I have the Amex everyday card but I really don't use it. That was the first Amex card that I received. LOL, that is not right that they cut the Cash magnet card. Hopefully, will create better no annual fee cards. Great video Nell 😊

I heard awhile back that a lot of mortgage companies will be using Vantage Score 4.0

To be completely honest.I have multiple credit unions "WITH HIGH CL'S" who currently use [Vantage] scores as a model for their lending in part.For example "Jovia CU" out of Westbury NY uses [V-4 TU] for their lending decisions. "RBFCU" out of Texas does indeed use [V-3] but are geo restrictive."Baxter CU" uses [V-4 TU] for some of their lending decisions.There are others.Thank you another super informative video !!

From my experience, Vantage 4 has been HORROR-BULL :-( How can I have a perfect 850 sweep (all 3 bureaus) for FICO 8, 9 &10, Bank Card & auto scores near the max 900 & even Vantage 3 scores in the 830's, BUT Vantage 4 only has me only at 793. (Not that 793 is bad, but compared to where all the other scoring metrics have me, what's down rather than up??????) Even my 10T's are in the high 820's\830's. How many of these pundits saying this have seen their OWN Vantage 4 scores? Have you ever seen yours? I don't want to know what it is, just have you ever seen it? Another knock on it is that's it's VERY DIFFICULT to get. One of my credit unions gives it to me, but only quarterly. Some Synchrony Bank credit cards give it., but it's hard to get. This covers a couple of years..... The first Vantage 4 score that I saw for myself was 811. Then I applied for a credit card. My FICO 8 Bank Card score was in the 820's, so you know it's great credit. Just the inquiry to me from 811 DOWN TO 783 & after the card reported for the first time, it went down again to 775. It's recovered to be 793 now, but my point is HOW COULD THE SWING IN THE SCORES BE SO DRASTIC IF VANTAGE 4 IS SUPPOSED TO BE SO HELPFUL TO MANY. Maybe IF you're score is mediocre it will help, BUT IF YOU'RE EXCCELLING, it may actually hurt with every little thing you try to do.

Agree. Disputing stuff on your report should ONLY be used if its showing as derogatory and driving your score down and for whatever reason you cant get it resolved. I was in that position years ago and had to dispute and it worked out for me...but my ex had trashed both our credit scores with her medical bills trying to get pills, so all of my disputes were trying to get that crap off MY report. In my state Im responsible for my wifes medical debt, but nothing else. it worked in my case. All of it removed. But it didnt make my score go up. I had to do that myself over a couple years.

I think we lack accountability. Disputes are for inaccuracies in a report. If it’s your debt, charge off, collection or inquiry, own up to it. Your score is your score.

I could dispute a missed payment, but I don't really care, cost like 2 dollars in interest no fee since I acted on it. I don't need any loans. My score is 749. It will probably be over 800 again in 7 to 16 months.

What’s good! I would like to share that last month I paid off about six credit card accounts and decided to subscribe to my Phico within two weeks. My Trans Union score was up by 55 points. A year ago I was in the high 500's but now I'm a little over 700's it's a choice I made to NOT have bad credit as a senior citizen. Most Americans will NOT live by a budget, they have no idea where their money goes. I will say that the article is interesting and for me when my credit was bad it affected my health. It's sad when you don't have anyone you can borrow money from temporarily, but when you have a credit card you can use it in an emergency. I have lost a couple of apartments being $50 to $100 short and what happens next you get evicted and then your credit score tanks and then I became even more depressed. Depression is stress and stress will kill you so I agree with the article. I feel good knowing I have good credit.

I have no interest of getting any cards mentioned. I have a local credit union cc with 2% cash back on every purchase. All cash back earning will is available to transfer to my checking account on the 1st of the month.

I seriously doubt that anyone would be panicking over this news about AMEX cashback cards that I personally didn’t think they were making much traction with a lot of people.

I don't know about this article though because I never had an Amex card like ever and American Express had sent me countless applications and I just throw them in my thrash can because I never needed an Amex card nor did I ever was a fan of this charge card and this was Never a legit credit card! I only had 2 credit cards and my FICO Credit score is a low 823 credit score and I don't need anymore credit catds....
