Aloha pete, question for you brotha. I run a riffe 100ft bungee line on my blue water break away setup. I’ve tried the pulling and clipping technique but the elastic rubber is too thick for the 5in tuna clip so I cannot easily pull it through like the video. Any suggestions? Mahalo in advance🤙🏽

Parts of this video feel like indiscriminate killing of fish. Maybe talking about what happens with the fish you spear would be good for those of us who enjoy watching the adventure and who partake in sport fishing with the idea that we eat what we take.

Thanks for clearing up a few things. I was having a hard time deciding between nylon, or shackles and clips. I'm going with the clip instead of a clutch, it seems more versatile.

Back in the 1970's you had to drive to San Felipe, put the boat in the water and ride another 100 miles South to Angel Guardia island. The Black Grouper went into the 300+ pound range. I fish you seldom see anymore was the White Sea Bass, which was the most difficult to spear. The groupers were easy.
