Ive come back to say..... This game did even worse than Lawbreakers, Suicide Squad, and Redfall on launch day. Now admittedly we dont know the player count on PS5 but ill bet my left hand that its not a whole lot better. We all know how this ends....

L game Marvel Rivals clears

I bought the deluxe edition and have been playing since Tuesday, I absolutely love it, it does have some unique ideas that are its own. It's also def inspired by games like Overwatch, but the gunplay and abilities feel different. I feel like ppl should just take it for what it is and enjoy the game.

Played it. It is painfully average. In a world where Marvel's Rivals comes out in December and is F2P this game does not survive.

The PS5 is the best 9th gen console because you can livestream your games with RUclips. Plus, the PS5 is backwards-compatible with PS4 games (Most of them).

Concord is going to flop so hard that you're going to struggle in lobbies even finding enough players to fill a game. You're going to run into the same usernames over and over. Everyone buying Wukong instead.

Lets layout the competition for the next 30ish days. - Overwatch Season 12 (Which comes along with a new support hero) on August 22 - Star Wars Outlaws on August 30th - Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 on September 9th - God of War Ragnarök (on pc) on September 19 - Black Myth: Wukong (which is the #1 Wishlist game on steam) on August 19 - Lollipop Chainsaw Repop on September 11. - Cod Black Ops 6 Beta on August 30th to finish off the month. Im sure there are others but these are the only games on my personal radar that are relevant. Concord doesn't have a snowballs CHANCE in hell. It is being sent off to die just like its older brothers and sisters in Foamstars and Destruction Allstars to be tax harvested.

Most gamers are ugly. With that said most gamers don't want to play themselves in a video game. Meaning they don't want to play ugly characters just like them. People can talk all around this all they want but at the end of the day if this game had characters like, The First Descendant it would have sold 100 times more. People are straight up lying about how they're tired of all these 5vs5 hero shooters. You know how I know this? Marvels Rivals is yet another Hero shooter. The characters look good enough and it has a good IP. If you want a good free to play Hero shooter play Paladins. The Characters look good and the community is still strong.

The facts are is they lost us the PC crowd we have access to alot of games that are better that is free to play the problem is if Overwatch and Marvel Rivals is free who at Firewalk thought it was a good idea toto charge $40 PC people are waiting for Space Marine 2 we are not tal;king Concord on Steam but like I said $40 is were they went wrong its not worth it Ive played it and Valorant Overwatch Marvel Rivals and Delta Force Hawk OPs are free and its not near as good as any of them 4 titles

I think it's sad for people to dump on a game just for using pronouns. Not like it's forcing you to accept their ideals, it's just there But i also think it's sad labeling someone as phobic or bigoted for having valid criticism. I had my fill with games like Apex, Tf2, Paladins, and overwatch. Concord, to me, is just meh. If the game fails, that means it didn't have the appeal it needed to stand out.

I want this game to succeed. Competition makes everything better for the consumer. Plus I don't like to see people lose their jobs when their game fails.

I don't know how long you've been in this spcae, but a similar thing happened with the TLOU2. It sparks from what some consider Anti-Yt Male Agendas, until strong opposing arguments counter them, then the goalpost moves & moves & moves.. The main difference is TLOU already established itself as an IP, but it saw a MAJOR downturn in sales.. The same ppl who are "tired of PVP & Hero Shooters" were seen playing hours & hours of the Marvel Rivals Beta

Also, it’s a bit HARD TO SAY whether GameStop is at fault or not. It all depends on whether Game Informer was independently profitable or not. Unfortunately, since they’re so intrinsically tied with GameStop, they may have decided to just cut them anyway as a cost-saving measure since GameStop has been MAJORLY on the decline since the pandemic.

I have like 19 YEARS STRAIGHT worth of GI issues built up in my closet. They were the ONLY gaming mag I’ve stayed subscribed to past like 2010. Sucks they’re gone for good but I felt like the writing was kinda on the wall when they randomly “laid off” like 5-10 members of the editorial/writing staff like 4-5 years ago and then shortly after, Andy McNamara (their editor-in-chief for 29 years who had been there since the beginning) left.

They had a good run tbh, everyone else basically been gone. GameStop keeping Gameinformer afloat for so long was good karma hopefully.

Nah not true, they just opened the door to pc world and there are still games being released but this gen everything looks sliver than other gens.

The entire industry is doomed because no one is getting it right. Similar to how phones were before the iPhone. They had the idea, but not the execution of what a smartphone is. Fully immersive VR games designed for VR are great, but expensive and on short supply. Instead of investing tons of money making new games, make the headset capable of playing the games we’re already going to buy. Tag on a VR mode and bam…..you got yourself a healthy library of games, for minimal investment and risk. You want to sell a system? Last of Us 3 with a VR mode. Praydog proved this is genuinely possible. It’s crazy the industry doesn’t understand the potential of VR. They’re focused on the wrong things….

This is gonna be a lame cop-out, but its the economy. 100%. Companies have entire divisions of labor that churn out products that lose money all the time. This is one of those instances where the economy has shrunken to where we can't progress into new areas. It's a little unsettling.

It's not that difficult, the PSVR2 with the Prisdrop has sold more in one day than it has in the last 7 months, so it only depends on price, not on games.

Hopefully aces of thunder is amazing. A good dogfighting game would justify the purchase for me. Also I'm going to buy a pc just to play more games on my psvr2

Sony need to focus on smaller AA developers and fund them to add VR modes to their games. AAA games are just too expensive and will lose money on any VR platform. Games like Stray and Sack boy would be perfect for VR and wouldn't cost too much to add a VR mode.

I don't agree in these ways. 1) it has nothing to do with software. It was a pricing issue. As we've seen by the uptick in sales in the U.K. and United States this last week as the unit went on sale for $350, $400 with Horizon Call of the Mountain. Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart sold out. 2) I've had PSVR 2 since March and I don't have all the time to play all the good games on it, even when I buy them in PSN sales. 1st, because other good flatscreen games (regular games) are also coming out, I mean I own SMT V Vengeance, Nobody Wants to Die, & have had FF 7 Rebirth since release, & haven't touched them yet. And 2nd, you can't play VR as long as regular games. Even if you're in shape it takes a physical toll on you wearing extra weight on your face for 2 hours & moving your arms and body around. 3) The PSVR 2, because of the headset and controller haptics and adaptive triggers, usually has the best version of any VR game that's ported across multiple ecosystems. Beyond being able to produce great graphics beyond anything except a higher end PC. 4) It's hard to tell people how awesome PSVR 2 is, as unless you have the headset on. You don't understand the immersion looking at someone else playing it. And another factor against VR in general, is the initial motion sickness a lot of people get after 10-20 minutes, the 1st time they play VR. Yes, for the majority, as you play more & more (after of course stopping when/if you feel sick) the brain gets used to it, but that's a hard pill to swallow if you're not a tech enthusiast. 5) The lack of huge AAA games isn't a PSVR 2 problem, it's a Sony PlayStation problem. They've only released 1 big Budget AAA game in the last 22 months, and That's Spider-Man 2. And Just like with PS5, they've paid other studios to make content for their system. They gave money to Capcom for them to make RE Village & RE 4 Remake playable in PSVR 2. And they've done it with smaller studios too, they paid to get Legendary Tales, a great PSVR 2 RPG, over the finish line and put onto the system, they're also helping the studio making the new WWII flying game Aces of Combat. Just like they invested in Team Ninja for Rise of the Ronin or Square for the Final Fantasy games. 6) There are a bunch of amazing games on PSVR 2. Yes, a bunch of them are on other VR systems, but often the best version is on PSVR 2. Besides the Launch Lineup, with the Resident Evils and Gran Turismo 7, there is a lack of triple A games, but again, the VR experience is so different, it would be hard to try and experience 50 big budget games in that way. Yes, it would be cool to be able to play Spider-Man or Horizon like that, but great games that take advantage of the tech can be made by AA studios. Look at Sky dance who made Walking Dead Saints & Sinners, which is wonderful. They Have the new action game Behemoth coming this year. And so many other AA VR games are coming this year, from Arken Age, Wanderer, & Alien Rogue Incursion to Aces of Combat. And even the indie developers make great games, I've spent hours playing Masternoid, Ghost Signal and C-Smash. And they're things you can only experience in VR. 7) The PC adapter comes out for PSVR 2 this week. So that further increases it's value. Yes, the coolest things that the PSVR 2 has, like Haptics & Adaptive triggers, won't initially work (until modders or companies go in & do extra work) but that's because those games haven't been programmed to use those features. But you still get the Oled lenses and HDR that you might not get in $1,000 headset. Things are definitely looking up for PSVR 2, and I'm excited about it's future.

It would be cool if Valve ported Half Life Alyx to PSVR2. I think the PS5 could handle it quite well. Nice vid.
