Here I am playing through my "nightmare" difficulty run, when I run right into the creature stalking me. What happens next is one of this game's weirder AI moments. I was still dead meat!
This route basically does a similar thing to Undertale Genocide. It exists because it has to exist, this story of loss of trust and learning to redeem oneself from all the wrong they've done... and then spitting in it because you see a chance to move forward without her, not even giving her that second chance. Its messed up to get here... But cowardly for someone like me who's just sitting here and watching
The one time I appreciate the hands taking her away from you.

Thus is quite possibly the most evil, coldhearted, and cruel action the player can take in the game. Still, I would do it for the achievement
I think killing the prisoner or the damsel is equally awful
@@02miguener99s The Prisoner does not care if we die, so we can kill her in spite. And I regard denying giving The Shifting Mound vessels as the most wicked action player can do. Though Oblivion is my favourite Ending for showing The Shifting Mound's true colors.
@@Rezpin she literally killed us in self defense, how is that not caring? And it's not like that make us killing her justified, when you trie to kill her it turns out to be surprisingly easy despite her pushback, it's killing what I would say is an innocent person
@@02miguener99s Did you look at the expression on her face in pre-Prisoner chapter? Why The Prisoner and The Damsel are different paths? And... was it *really* easy to slay her? She attacks us in any situation that is not comfortable for her and strangles us. Slaying The Prisoner in most cases counts as self-defence too.
@@Rezpin Idk what you mean about the “True Colors” bit becuase, in my opinion, the Oblivion ending shows us that the Shifting Mound loves us more than ever. Of course she gets mad at us for leaving the cabin, she’s literally going to die if we keep doing that. The construct unravels if we keep leaving it and that would cause both Shifty and LQ’s consciousness to fade into nothing. But in spite of all that, if you choose to leave the cabin six times and destroy the construct, Shifty still continues to love you regardless. In the Oblivion ending, she wraps her arms around your soul and keep it together as your very existence threatens to fade away. Her final act is to keep you alive, if only for just a little longer. All that pain and bliss you feel is just a byproduct of your disintigrating soul being forcibly held together. And in the end, you still get the choice on whether you want keep existing or just fade into nothing. And all in all, I think that’s pretty sweet for an ending where the both of you die permanently.

I like the design; will absolutely buy it. Just wish the activation sound was more unique.
Hey, give me a reality check here. Isn't this one of the most basic lightsaber sounds in the entire game? Like, one of the ones you can get from regular in-game items? The lightsaber itself is beautiful but uh... Most importantly, thank you so much for making this video, as you just saved me from myself.
You're not wrong. It does sound like a lot of the default lightsabers. Reminds me of a watered down Ziost Guardian activation sound. Overall the Gothic Master's lightsaber has an OK hilt design but it does not resemble either Baylan Skoll's or Marrok's lightsabers. In hindsight I should have given this weapon a pass. The armour set is cool though.
Personally, my issue with a lot of the sabers in this game is that they have some really goofy sound effects attached to otherwise desirable hilt designs. I would love it if all sabers in this game used sound effects ripped from the films instead of freestyling weird shit. Or if we could just have a sound modification slot, everybody could be happy.
@@Mister_Vyar I agree with you wholeheartedly that a sound-slot would be the ideal solution. In the specific context of being relentlessly shackled to "the flims" as it pertains to things like the SFX of my lightsaber in a videogame, i genuinely don't care. Choice is always good imo.

Excellent to have a video for this. Wish you could preview it in the Cartel Market or something, but alas. Also, alas, I will now have to maybe buy this because it looks and sounds nice.
