i recommend using hsbc and a global account if your from the uk and us as this bank runs in different countries and if u need to go back home for familoy emergencies or or holiday periods such as xmas/easter your new yrs u got many in the account to transfer if needed and can transfer between the uk, us and australia, as for an australian bank account if u go with westpac u will c westpac combined with st. george as one branch as st. george is under the westpac umbrella but both operate as there own independent banks u just an extra bank option to choose from, also wespac operates in NZ same with anz, personally i wouldnt recommend commonwealth bank but this is a personal choice for you to make.

Such a dream being able to split all living expenses with a partner. Do you both earn exactly the same each month? Otherwise if your split of costs isn’t relative to your individual incomes it isn’t necessarily a 50/50 split because the person earning less is having to give up more etc. Hope that makes sense! I just felt called to share this thought because I wish somebody had said it to me a few years ago. Thank you for your warm & informative content x

You honestly should stop promoting any service by misleading people and without giving a full picture. The petrol price is so under rated. Petrol is very expensive here. And AA is the worse insurance company to deal with. They are only good as long as you do not have to make any claims. That is every year keep paying them to make them rich and drain your bank balance. The reality hits when you meet with an accident even if it wasn't your fault. They like to con you into AA membership and everything else they can promote to make money. Their customer service is the worse. There are a lot of immigrants work for them and every time you ring them, you are put on hold for ages and given misleading and contradictory information. They are the experts in deny and delay tactic hoping your claim would magically get lost and you will disappear somewhere. They are expert con artists tricking the new immigrants especially and all the Asian students with limited English. And guess what a lot of people end up paying from their own pocket because without a car one cannot manage for long and people don't have time time fight them. And they know it very well with decades of experience tricking their clients. Before signing up to AA insurance or AA membership, please do yourself a favour and read all the negative comments their clients have written on their AA insurance page and decide for yourself.
