Plex uSDM Pro display with AEM V2
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.7 лет назад
Page switching with a remote rotary switch. You can do this with the Pro version since it has analog inputs. Pro version also has RS232 input which allows 19 additional channels to broadcast from the AEM V2. And 32mb logging which can activate from speed/pressure criteria or through a switch input using an analog input. Great little fullly configurable dash display for a really decent price.
Wheel Speed Based Traction Control AEM V2
Просмотров 4,3 тыс.9 лет назад
AEM Series 2 set to look at front to rear wheel slip. Slip target is set to 10% at higher rpm. 1st gear is allowed a lot of slip below 20mph to help with launch. This can be set to use any combination of fuel or ignition cut % and ignition retard based on slip level. Only fuel cut % is used in this video. 6266 Supra vs Lamborghini Huracán

We were right in the middle of setting up traction control on the AEM V2 when a Lambo pulled up behind us. As you can see, 1st and 2nd gear were pretty hopeless.
AEM Series2 E85 28° Cold Start
Просмотров 44710 лет назад
The E% is actually 79%. Car was sitting outside all evening and night. When temp gets down to the 20's, it'll take an extra half rev of cranking before it starts, but it does reliably cold start with the new Flex Fuel update.
AEM EMS Series 2 Cold Start

Cold start on AEM V2. Coolant temp 53°, battery volts drops to 10.3 while cranking, sync'd at 2.7 revs, started at 4.3 revs. 920cc Bosch EV14 injectors with 93 octane pump gas.

AEM Series 2 30-6100 running a stock 2JZ-GE engine with hotwire MAF. I only have 2 hours of street tuning at this point, starting with the provided MAF 30-6101 startup cal. The gauge overlay was created using a PC log file, AEM's new data analysis program AEMData, and a screen capture program to record the gauges playing back the log file. I then used Cyberlink PowerDirector to add the gauges a...

Engine Knock
Просмотров 16 тыс.13 лет назад
Spectrogram 16 used to show what knock looks like and identify it's frequency. Knocking sound on overrun is likely just piston slap. Played at normal speed and then slowed to 1/7th speed. Wideband Bosch knock sensor and laptop audio card were used at 96,000Hz. Sensor was mounted next to cylinder #6 on a Toyota (Lexus) 2JZ-GE engine.

A little rusty. Best lap of the day was 2:36.9 Had to shift around 6000rpm and let off at the end of a couple of the straights due to some ignition breakup trouble. Tires are Falken RT615. Overlay is from RaceChrono2AVI.

Hey kurt Im going to set this up but with using the 12v pulsed output from a aem gps gauge to t4. Do you think the gps signal could keep up for this to work?
Hi there, can you please provide any info how you change from the distance??? Thanks
I have not turned this on, but it looks like you need to first go to Functions tab and select speed source and trip reset input for Odometer/Trip. Then go to Internal Channels and turn on the trip channel and then add to a page.
This is top, you can see where they peak out of the the top of the spectrum too by the looks. I'm going to be trying this, hopefully I see none.
It's so easy to differentiate in yours, it's nearly impossible in my recording, there's so much more engine noise it seems
Do you use a 16 position rotary swich? Is there also any buttons? Thanks!
What all did you have to do to make this work? Did you have to buy any extra sensors?
Fuckry dis
i have the same one on my s13
Piston slap...?
I've never seen this before, awesome
Do you have the same settings here as the posted link? Thanks.
I know this is years old... but when you ran a 30-6100 on NA-T setup did you need to jump any wires? Or just upload a different start up cal
6266 is the turbo
What kind of supra is that? I've never heard of a 6266 supra? It's badass that's it's faster than a Lamborghini!
But the problem is it is not Lamborghini
Nice, what kind of power are you putting down?
With this turbo upto 750 hp.
Very nice.
What exhaust manifold?
Badass! What injectors, fuel and boost level on this race?
Awesome! Thanks for the reply. Are you Kurt? How hard was it to set up? I saw the lambo race and it's such a night and day with trac control.
3 Step aemelectronics.com/?q=forum/how-3step-wheel-speed-differential-traction-control
MKIVTurbo6spd Kurt, ive got a question. In your link above. You set your 1st gear zero slip to 8300 then added 10 percent to get 9000 but in the last pic of your 3 step table you have it set to 7600 rpm same as the others. Why did you add ten percent then reduce it?
Is this done using AEM V2 trac control or the 3-step option?
Im getting a 6266 for my Evo in the next couple weeks :) Beastly turbo!!
Very clean pull.
This is good data. What's the part number of the sensor you used? If you don't mind sharing the information.
The overlaid gauges from AEMData is a great idea for trying to remember what you did and where you were, thanks for sharing it! Have you taken your supra to the dyno yet? I'm looking for videos of "drivability tuning" on a dyno, like fixed load timing/fuel adjustment. Unfortunately, the only videos people post are about WOT tuning. :(
only 91 octane ? that's not dangerous for engine ? Here the minimum it's 95 and maximum 98 (but 98 is for turbo engine)
This is actually quite a nice example to share. Highly recommend any tuner use headphones to listen for knock in real time while tuning any engine.
Sounds almost like mine when I run 91 Octane. I love the AEM V2 for the GE engine.
@vela07 It's not turbo'd (yet). His screenname refers to his last mkIV, which was.
doesnt sound turbo'd. If it's a stock 2jzge, it sounds so much different than mine! thanks for posting this up.
So it seems the best thing to do while tunning is to record the engine sound then playback and listen for knock. Or even better yet put on a pair of head phones and listen for knock in real time.
This is what I'm doing at the moment - don't trust the dyno guys so I've the Phormula Pro setup on my bike, so am listening with earbuds as i ride
nice save at the end.
