Orr Sawmill is a small local sawmill in Central Wisconsin that supplies homeowners, woodworkers, farmers, and contractors with quality lumber for home projects. I created Orr Sawmill to help reduce the cost of home projects for local families and contractors. One can bring a log to get sawn, dried, milled, and turned into beautiful dried lumber ready to use.

Been double wrapping. Anyone else watching in the midwest, are you also double wrapping after the huge amount of mice in the last 2 years?
What is the purpose of wrapping the bails?
So this year we have had alot of rain so the hay is made wet, the wrapping preserves the hay so the stays fresh. Wet hay if not wrapped, will mold and rot.
@@orrsawmill5065 Thank you for the fast answer. And the cloth is the right material? Plastic would produce condensation.
Everything about this just seems wrong..... Wrapping wet hey wouldn't preserve anything.... Wrapping it will trap the moisture and cause rot... This is false logic

(4) Can i have the scraps? Please? COD? (USA)... Is this from old stand? (ex-carpenter/cabinet asking). "Take my heart" , "Love me to my bones" - yup, I'm a diehard sawdust kinda guy...
The logs in this video are from a 40 to 50 year old stand. I do saw some old growth pine occasionally.

nice video. people may not appreciate what goes into sawing an oversized log on the mill. i applaud your approach in getting the most out of the tree rather than just getting what the customer wants and passing on the rest. i really like your format, just the facts and no fake drama or silly, pointless comments, best wishes and thank you.
