Jimmy was my nephew, and was always one of the sweetest kids around. That sweetness never changed as he grew up and started his own life. He moved from working on cars in Illinois to working on cars with his father in Montana. As a kid, he could always be found tinkering on vehicles with his father at home, fixing the neighbors lawnmowers or whatever else he got his hands on. Every weekend during the summer, he was with his father at the local speedway watching stockcar racing and demolition derbys. When he moved to Montana, he started his biggest dream of racing, and poured every aspect of his life and free time into his dream. Even when his cancer returned, and he received his terminal diagnosis, he continued racing for as long as he was physically able to. Even after having to quit racing, Jimmy could always be found in the pit or trackside with his father. Shortly before his passing, even though he lost his sight & severe hearing loss, he told his father that he just had to go to the races once more. And in spite of his illness and the pain he was in, he attended one last time. And it's heartbreaking to know that the sweet little boy who loved nothing more in life that racing passed away at the age of 42. God bless you Jimmy, you will always be in my heart and memory. Love you, Uncle Sam.
