I believe Genes has a lot to do with it.. most of my family died very young, some in their 40’s.. most in their late 50’s.. I’ve always been athletic and still workout 6 days a week. I would love to run though, due to a couple of slip disc it’s unfortunate I cannot.. b/c everytime I show up to show out the pain for the next 2-3 months reminds me to do something else along with so many other medical problems.. Living with chronic pain is a pain.. when I see older people running I look up to God and say man why me. It’s sad when I see really healthy people sitting on their back side and I’m wishing I had all their healthy organs so I can go out and punch life right in the a$$.. not complaining.. I do the best I can with the cards I was dealt, I just wish to God I was healthy.. Never take your health for granted.. Health is wealth so keep moving.. I’m in my mid 40’s

This guy is an inspiration, especially you look at all the seniors as young as their 60s, even 50s, who are more or less invalids. He's mentally and physically all there at 90. He's had a long life, and also a good one.

What an amazing man. What’s with the narrator attributing Hunter S Thompson’s famous quote to Lew over and over again? There’s no need to do that - Lew speaks for himself with some amazing sound bytes. Besides, HST died at 67 - attributing that quote to this great man of longevity is misguided! Keep on keeping on, Lew.

I train everv morning down in the park where there is calisthenics equipment. This morning this guy passed by with his wife and hung from a bar for a few moments. He told me his doctor told him he had to start exercising. I showed him a couple of things he could do(pullups, chinups) and the very first thing he tells me is his age as a way to rationalise not being able to do any of it. He was 67 and had all but written himself off. Its a disgrace really that people will believe that once they hit a certain age they are done. Theyre afraid to try new things for fear of being the oldest person there. They talk about themselves in a derogatory manner. Theres a great book "As a man thinketh so shall he be". This is the truth
