I see a lot of people using the term leitmotif and I kind of feel like that doesn’t really apply here..? How I understand leitmotif’s is that they’re used to represent something or someone in the story, so unless the bird and Alphys are connected in some way, I don’t feel like calling this a use of a leitmotif really apply here

a leitmotif is more than just a series of notes or similar rhythms, in fact it doesnt necessarily have to be those things. there DOES have to be a thematic connection, which is lacking here. this is just a coincidence
