Very cool. Reminds me of our old fastback except it sat in the wind tunnel until it wore down to this. Check out the rear quarter window. It's the same chrome style as old Porsches. In many ways this VW is more of a Porsche than any modern water-cooled Porsche. I wonder if they gave it a spicy 912 engine? Truly a gem of a motorcar.
Sadly it had an 1.7 beetle engine if not had a porsche boxer swap.
@@juancarlosbatmanHAA VeeDub parts are cheaper and much easier to find. Oem Porsche parts are high quality but it's all old tech. I'd say a modern forged air cooled VW build would beat my old 912. In fact it happened often. I didn't want to test parts made and assembled in 1966. I could tell they had zippy power. Many parts were made in the same factories only Porsche had higher specs. Now I am thinking a Subaru WRX STI engine in there would be a serious contender.
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime....:-((((
But in any case, you can convert them in liquid gas hibrid cars or electric motor cars. A clasic car will alwais be a Clasic Car.
You have wrong information. Thic case concern to new cars, note classic and the agreement wasn't singned by many of manufactures and countries as well.

I love the colour! Did you restore it yourself? It looks factory new! Where do you get your parts? The headlight lenses are a good find, where did you buy them? Please post more video's! A tip: the rear hinges are also used on the old Alpine A110s. In case you ever need one.
Thanks! The color is Kawasaki Green. I bought the car with paint/body already done, but have done a lot of improvements as far as exterior trim pieces, interior pieces, and a ton of mechanical work (basically all new brakes, new transmission, new suspension). It already had the headlight lenses when I bought it.
