im not so sure about that anymore. everybody has mileage. i spent my entire youth in a very competitive field and went out of my way to reject the idea that i couldnt do what they could. years go by. im better but im not them. what am i to do? sacrifice a decade to be half of what they are? your good at what your good at and some will always be better. the greatest amongst us cant relate to the plight of the average person who works hard. most will have to sacrifice everything to become significant in any way. when you hear the stories of those who area great and learn they didnt sacrifice anywhere near as much as you to do what they did you really put it into perspective. you just cant beat some people. and i did try. it is what it is. im forever destined to be slightly better than average even if i did have to sacrifice everything to attain that fleeting space. its fruitless. i get your sentiment but it doesnt reflect the reality for 97 percent of people in any one thing. the idea is to try every thing you can until you find something you didnt have to put anywhere near as much effort in to get mileage out of. thats the best you can hope for. the rest is just gifted people who hate the idea that they were gifted. most people who did sacrifice to get places dont want to admit that they only made those sacrifices because the road already looked promising.
I will have to respectfully disagree with you. Every single person has the ability to become great and the unfortunate reality is that only a few decide to be great. The greats have all sacrificed a great deal and we just don’t see their behind the scenes. Once you decide in your mind that you can achieve anything, your mind will begin to look for ways to do that. Don’t underestimate yourself like this, you can be great and if you tried then try even harder. Remember this, however gifted or talented someone is, you can outwork them. We are all just flesh and blood and no one is an alien. Most people have a negative and pessimistic outlook on life which means that their life will reflect this mindset. When you go through life saying all the time “I will become great, I am the best, all those who have achieved great things are human just like me”. When you begin to believe this and I mean truly believe this then you will see how great you can really become. Don’t settle for slightly above average my friend. You can become great and I want you to know that. Keep going and don’t give up. Thanks for your comment🙏❤️
