Fighter 1: Win over (8th ranked welterweight, 3rd ranked welterweight on short notice, win over 4th ranked middleweight, fought once in 2023, and once in 2024) or Fighter 2: Win over (9th ranked middleweight, 11th ranked middleweight, 5th ranked middleweight, win over all time great 2nd ranked middleweight, close lose to champion, and much more active) You tell me who earned it more. Also "impressive win's" is very subjective cause then we talk about entertainment value and that's subjective so we have to stick to the numbers and Fighter 2 has better numbers.

I agree that Sean vs DDP 1 was a close fight but he did lose. Khamzat is coming off destroying Whittaker (who just beat a tough prospect in Aliskerov) and Strickland is coming off a decision to Costa (who has no good recent wins).

Kham beats a washed up Whitaker/Sean beats a washed/never was Costa. you say Kham was more impressive, did Sean lose a single round? Sean destroyed Costa. and yes Kham destroyed Whitaker. advantage EVEN. Sean has fought everyone he was asked to fight, never missed a fight for any reason. Kham cant make weight excuse after excuse on why he cant fight. Advantage Sean. and as far as the claim Kham fought more recently is absolutely meaningless, how much of a time gap between Kham vs. Whitaker and Khams last fight? Sean was promised the DDP rematch but they decided to play the african angle pushing sean vs DDP2 back. and somehow you want to punish Sean for this. Advantage Sean. I agree that are alot of interesting up and comer in the division that deserve action but you cant cut the line there is still unfinished business here at the veteran level, there time just like khams time will come its just not this fight.

Why does activity matter if it doesn't affect his performances? He isn't champ, it's not like he's holding up the division. Only hurting himself and the longevity of his career, but he's consistently beating whoever they put in front of him. It's a more entertaining fight and would likely be a more successful PPV that a rematch with a decision artist like Strickland. Strickland gets an immediate rematch after losing the title when Izzy didn't get a rematch with Strickland and is now having to fight helis way up after being the most dominant champ in the division. Make it make sense brother. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

@@gingerprivilege421 Since Strickland lost the belt almost a year ago, him and Khamzat have both fought once. Strickland won a luke warm decison over Costa (who doesnt have a win over anyone on the current UFC roster) and Khamzat destroyed Whittaker. This isn't flyweight. We have impressive contenders who deserve it. No need for rematches like that.

@@andy2069 Dont know if izzy strickland 2 would be the #1 contender fight to make. With surging contenders like Caio and Nassourdine, the rematches at the top of the divison dont make too much sense. Either way itd be better than what we're getting

@phendo6765 How can you say Jon Jones, a longtime UFC contender and skilled fighter, isn't top tier? He's still an active fighter and has one of the best records and careers in MMA. I see what you are saying about the light heavyweight record being different than heavyweight, but fighting across multiple weight classes is even more impressive IMO.

Jones isnt even top 10 for fight IQ hes a cheater that gets away with it because hes Danas pet. Aspinall and Alex would both mop the floor with him.

This specific video is rating how we see them as the current Champ of their division. As the LHW champ we believe Alex is S-tier🙏❤️
