Caterpillar D-7 pushing dirt
This caterpillar D-7 was bought brand new in 1953 I believe by my great uncle who owned Felix and Ferrick's construction. they did big construction work consisting of building highways and major buildings back in the 50s and 60s they had two caterpillar D-7s and two Bucyrus Erie 15b power shovels the equipment is still in use today not every day for a business because the business went out of business sometime in the 70s I believe but it still gets used at antique steam and tractor shows when the business went out of business they had a big sale and sold all of the equipment so it left our family for a long time but through the Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society of northwestern Pennsylv...

Stihl FS 80 cermacial weed wacker in use
Hi. Are you still here checking messages? I need help with magneto rotation on these dozers. Thank you
Оригінальний трактор
I liked that video. The maker, young as he may be knows his stuff. He has had good teachers. Thank you!
Aah yes what I learned to drive on @ the age of 5!
I realize this an old post but, there is a special procedure oil the engine cooling fan hub, unless it has been converted to a sealed bearing, (it won't have the screw on the hub".
That is not the way to grease the bearings on the Cub or any other ones. There is a washer in there that will prevent any grease fro coming in there from the hub cap. They have to be removed from the tractor inner and outer and repacked by hand to fill them with new grease. Doing as you indicate if it would work would be pushing grease past the felt seal on inside bearing at spindle and there by ruining it. That is its function to keep dust dirt and water out, you have just provided a path for all that to enter into the spindle area and bearings.. WRONG-WRONG! CHECK the Servicing Manual and learn how correctly !!!!!!Bad advice here.
I like that Farmall cub tractor it's so cool how much horsepower does it have also cool video!
Why did you not pit the cinder blocks back on it? Looks liked you could have gotten better results with the extra weight. I love those old cubs. Tougher than a lighter knot. Take care of it, and it'll run another 50 years! 😃
It was great watching you take great care of your disk. Good job.
Just picked one of these up for $100, worth every penny, built better than the new models
If you have a magneto you have to oil it. Those old girls have more places to oil and grease. Oh yeah don't forget the fan bearings and the distributor and distributor drive.
They yust to say being in a rut was a bad thing. I remember hitting a rock just wrong and that steering wheel spun right around and purpled the top side of my hand.
Totally wrong in greasing the front wheel bearings. Look at the IHC Farmall Service Manual. You take off the entire wheel assy. and regress inner and outer bearings and check for were on the race. etc. I don't know who told you this or how you arrived at this but it is entirely WRONG !!!!!!
Greasing bearings this way is not only inadequate, but you are forcing grit dirt etc,, around all the bearing and races this way u r using but when as you say it squishes out the back. Yeah then you have just destroyed the Felt seal at the rear of wheel. Then grit water etc, so it can enter in there and grease will be continually running out of it there lessening the required amount of grease required in the area of bearing, the race and spindle.
Grease can not do anything here as it has a big washer behind castle nut that prevents any grease from entering the entire spindle from front and rear.....
Trash in the carburetor or in the tank blocking the outlet. Years ago I had a cigarette pack plastic wrapper in the tank of my JD 70, gave me fits. Toss into the carb several times and pulled the tank off twice before I figured it out.
Nice tractor
I just bought a disc like the one you got here. I went thru it and gave it some TLC . It has the original weight tray and hooks directly to the fockshaft. Anxious to get it in the ground soon. Thanks for the video. Like to have you for a neighbor
Nothing runs as smooth as a 1070
Nice! That baby started right up
I use my TD-9 to plow my driveway every winter. Out of all of my equipment it is my favorite.
I plug my tractor in starts right up .
Heavy unit, My back hurts 🤕
I think that's the best looking H I've ever seen. Runs the best too. Nice work.
Did you grease the distributor and distributor drive housing. There is a slotted plug in the distributor shaft housing you remove and screw in a grease fitting give about a 1/2 pump until grease comes out the small hole on the back side of the housing, replace the plug. Do the same on the distributor drive housing but give it 3 pumps and it doesn't have a hole to come out of. This is important because these spots don't get engine oil like most engines. All the old farmalls are this way.
Great little cub, nice to see original paint, those hydraulics work flawless. My dad had one on our farm , it had 42 belly mower 2 bush hog style swinging blades it would cut down small trees, he made custom cultivator to do point rows for corn and soybeans fields .out of school got job at IH dealership on the cub there is no throw out bearing for clutch fingers but it is a material like graphite that pushes on clutch fingers, that one guy mentioned force your self out of that habit of touching clutch or brake pedals young man 👨 lol I’ve had 3 cubs over the years one of them had no hyd lift. Thanks for video of mighty little work horse
I al ways fort the Stihl fs 80 was a bit under powerd but it lots good in this video
It died most likely because it needs the carb cleaned or because you left the choke on it doesn’t need the choke on for more than a minute at most my 112 with a 12 hp kohler I turn the choke off almost instantly
Is that the “Lung Cancer” setup😂
So question I'm looking at either getting an ih c3 mower it a Mott flail mower for the cub. I'll cutting both the lawn but also taller grass and soemtimes possible brush not real big just over growth. Which one would you think would be better. Everyone I talk to have a rotary mower and never ran a flail and say the rotary even though they never ran a flail. So sense you got a flail I want your opinion on it and how it runs. Thanks love the videos.
Nice you like your blade planning to put one on this winter to push some manure
Very awesome the 1070 is a truly awesome tractor I have inherited one that I literally grew up I saw my dad bring it home from the dealership in 1998 I take good care of it don’t have the 8a backhoe but it sounds good!
How is she running today?
I just picked up one of these and I'm looking for info to help in the restore/rebuild process. Do you have any docs? What size motor did you use?
I actually just purchased a property that had one come with it. If you're looking for spare parts I'd love to have it out of my garage!
Hi @@P00handp1nk3y3! Where are you located?
Western NY, between Buffalo and rochester
@@P00handp1nk3y3 This might be possible. How should I contact you for more details?
@@rusttick email you can drop?
You actually started it in the run position. The little icon that’s vertical is choke the horizontal one is run
Sounds good
The 265 Massey Ferguson was / is a great tractor. We had one bought new. The 3.9 L (4 cly. 236ci. ) Perkins Diesel engine is one of the most reliable motors ever built. It made the 265 a powerful pulling machine for its size, plowing with 3.16's a workhorse.
I have the same generator. It works good but I would like a manual and parts list and haven't found them yet.
Do you still have this mower?
What is the horse power in this model?
my 265 is 60hp at pto and i could push this pile easy with front loader. this operator is an idiot
3 years late but it has 60hp i also own a 265
First thing I noticed when he was riding the clutch
we had a cub with i was young, although our cultivator had a seat so you could guide the horse. cub was fun to cultivate on.
Very good tractor. It's recommended to turn the engine over a couple of times without injecting fuel. This is totally get the oil circulating in the engine. This should be done if sat for a long time. Otherwise, awesome video. We have the same tractor.
Very interesting for sure and that Ol 52 is in great shape it isn't a beauty queen. But it is used and I like that really well. What all attachments do you have for her?
Really nice 1952 Buddy and you keep it maintained well also. She needs a refresh on paint if you want to do that. What equipment do you have for it?
Tanks for the Video, I have one of those Lifting supports welded to my New to me Cub Lo-boy. Now that I see how it should be attached I'll have to cut it off so I can so I can just get back to the standard Hydro arm. I don't have a fail, ( Yet )
Not how I do it.
spent many long hours on the farmalls we had a farmall M and H the front wheels were close together and u had to crank the B things
Started better than some gas trucks!
8hp CASE: *[is traction engine]* also 8hp CASE: *[has narrow front end]* me: impossible. that CASE almost looks like a small avery tractor except as a narrow front for some reason. that's custom, isn't it or do other 8hp CASE's look like this too?
Apparently, riding the clutch is bad
Those fuses don’t do anything for the ignition. I have the same damn tractor.
