Flashing colored lights definitely can liven up your x-mas! There's always something interesting for your eye to go to. I prefer them over those dull, boring, static white lights.

Again, these lights are like none other made today. They still make the C7 and C9 twinkling bulbs but they are hard to find. As for the blinking sets with reflectors with a 3 way or 5 way action, they have been gone since the 1980's. About the only thing that they make now with any kind of blinking action is the multi function light sets in both incandescent and LED, but they are not the same. When the lights in this display were made, you had so much of a selection of lights to choose from back then. Even if you didn't like the flashing alternate action, there were still plenty of lights that just had steady burning with such nice reflectors and colors to choose from. Even Italian lights that were only steady burning were also beautiful. And of course bubble lights and lighted ice - who could forget those? I have many sets from the 70's and 80's just like this that I got at flea markets and estate sales over the years. Some are still in their original boxes and others are not. Several of them needed repair and lights replaced but I am good with lights and was able to do it with all of them. I will not use them outside at all so that they last me but I hope to really have a nice vintage display inside one day with these lights. The lights made today first are not made to last and they lack character but that's the day we live in. As for LED lights, they are good for large displays and commercial application as they use less energy, but they are surely not the same as the lights of the past. Whoever made this video, thank you very much. I still hope you have the lights and enjoy them.

LEDs may save money in electricity, but they lack the character of the old lights, and the color tones aren't the same, either

brings back childhood memories. these are the lights I loved as a kid.

love these the 3 way fast flashing light sets. And the C6 or c9 Twinkling bulbs my Favorite lights.

Blinking lights my Favorite

I grew up with those reflector lights, and I have lots of them. Cool to see somebody else collects them. Do you collect the three-way flashing tree toppers as well? If you like flashing lights, these will make your day.

if i lived near u id be watching those all day lol i have 1 set of flowered lights as i call them but have enough bulbs for about 5 sets. just wish there was a way to prevent the sockets from breaking apart
