I'm still rebuilding the engine sadly, I got sidetracked on other projects. Yesterday I picked up another 2004 15f with a mint exhaust manifold and water box, fresh water ski, for $375, and that included an almost complete engine, so there are deals out there. I still plan to use my repaired water box.

It had gotten water in the crank case, the crank probably had pitting

@@TheStephenspann27 I had a Kohler that water got into the crankcase and rusted the bearing. It had a 2 inch hole

I got it for free, and it had a lot of water in the crank case. I flushed it out and got it to the point that the oil stayed clean. I ran it a decent period of timing, tuning the carb etc. I found that it would only run correclty with the air filter off. No amount of carb adjusting coud keep it from running too rich. Once I got it to finally run full RPM, and I put a load on it, and I heard it's tone charge.. I saw smoke start to come out, and I knew it was about to blow, so i started recording. My guess is the crank journal had gotten rust on it from when it hard water in it, and it wiped out the bearing.

Well it was a good attempt. Maybe if there is a good predator engine sale at Harbor freight, you can get the generator running again. @@TheStephenspann27

you have to choose to have either the high beam on, or the low beam on with this setup.

@@TheStephenspann27 i am fine with just the low beam,but if I switch it up to high beam will the headlight be off and the tail light and blinkers be on?

@@anglegrinder4630 If you wire it the way I did in the video, you have to choose either for either high beam or low beam to power the harness. The second circuit will only power the head light. I was thinking about it some more, and I have an idea of how you could get full functionality using a diode. If I use that method, I'll make a video

They wanted to make more power. The PV engines look great on paper, but they ended up being very heavy and a pain to work on.

I haven't wired the headlight yet. I have a post saved from Thumpertalk that mentions the same 15 amp circuit. "Behind the number plate there are two accessory plugs, one is ground and one is 12v hot all the time. The fuse for this plug is 15amp is under the seat." I haven't located those yet.

Great. I made this video for my uncle who had just bought a jet boat with twin 65u's. I forgot to mention in the video that when you drill the returns out in the carb bodies you need to put a jet in the return line to create restriction.
