DIY projects you didn’t know you needed!
Can your RC car do THIS? If not, here's your next project!
Hi! Can your RC car handle THIS? If not, here's your next project!
In this video, I do a test of my homemade RC snowplow, affectionately named "The CyberPlow. This isn't just any remote-controlled vehicle-it's powerful enough to pull my kids (and even me!) on a sled through the snow. If you haven't experienced the thrill of being towed by a remote-controlled machine, you're seriously missing out!
What's New in This Adventure?
This time, I'm testing snow chains for the very first time. It's as fun as it looks and definitely a bit outside the norm of RC adventures.

Hi! In this video, I’m taking my RC CyberPlow to the next level by installing snow chains on the wheels. The difference is night and day! With the chains improving traction, this 100 kg (220 lbs) beast now plows through snow and ice like a nothing! After installing the chains, I decided to test its capabilities in a fun way: pulling my kids (and even myself!) on sleds behind the machine. Spoile...
How I Created an Amazing RC SnowPlow for Snow Removal!
Просмотров 5 тыс.21 день назад
Hi! For years, I dreamed of building a powerful remote-controlled machine-one that could handle heavy-duty tasks. A machine capable of clearing snow, moving heavy objects, pulling trailers in tight spaces like around the house or on the lawn. I also imagined something that could pull the kids on sleds or skis-a versatile, robust machine. When society shut down during COVID, I decided it was tim...
Finally! The CyberPlow gets Two Big Upgrades!
Просмотров 10 тыс.21 день назад
Hey everyone! It's time for some much-needed upgrades on my DIY RC snowplow! If you've seen my previous videos, you probably know how I welded this machine together in my garage. What's New? I've added a winch, typically used on ATVs or off-road vehicles. Why a winch on an RC snowplow, you ask? Honestly, I wasn't sure either, but it felt like a necessary 😂 I've also installed a linear actuator ...

Hi! In this video, you'll see my homemade remote-controlled snowplow, which I use to clear snow from my driveway comfortably with a remote control. I have several videos that go through the entire build process in detail, including this one: ruclips.net/video/S8h6VlBb1w4/видео.htmlsi=RYk5hgWcaRKnPyv_ In this specific video, I'll show you exactly how I built the snowplow itself using a 2 mm stee...
I Made The Ultimate Heated Cat Shelter! (DIY)
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.Месяц назад
Norwegian winters can be brutal for small cats, so I built this insulated house for my mom's cat. Made from simple 2x2" wood, with 50mm foam insulation, wooden panels, and a custom metal roof, it provides a warm, safe place for the cat to relax and access food. The heated floor is controlled via an app using Eaton xComfort, and the shelter also features an exterior downlight with an automatic t...

How I built an insane RC Heavy-Duty Machine from scratch! Are you tired of shoveling snow? I was too, so I decided to build my very own remote-controlled snowplow! In this video, I walk you through how I made this machine, almost with zero welding experience. (I welded somewhat when I was like 12 years old...) I will also show I solved the electronics and wiring for this homemade snowplow. This...
7-Year-Old Repairs 1987 Honda Engine (You Won't Believe This)
Просмотров 1302 месяца назад
In 2001, when I was 11 years old, I got my great-uncle, grandfather, and uncle to help me build a go-kart. The only thing I had to get myself was the engine, and I chose a Honda MTX 50cc motor from 1987. This go-kart was a big part of my childhood, but it had been sitting in an abandoned workshop for the last 22 years - until now! In this video, you'll see my 7-year-old daughter take charge, re...

How i solved the electronics for my homemade radio controlled snowplow machine: As some of you may know, I've built a homemade, remote-controlled snowplow to easily clear snow from my driveway-all from the comfort of a remote control. This project started as a fun hobby in my garage, and it's actually my first major undertaking where I'm learning how to weld. Well, at least I'm trying to! Lucki...

The Showdown: Expensive vs. Cheap Garage Cabinets!
Просмотров 4,3 тыс.2 месяца назад
Hi! Garage storage cabinets are very expensive, so I thought, to save money, why not try importing them myself? One set from Turkey and one from China. What could go wrong, right? Well... let's just say the quality difference was like night and day! This video is meant to be a lighthearted look at my experience - not a guide on what to expect. Normally, price is a good indicator of quality, but...

I Built A Badass Desk For My Home Office
You are amazing! The world would be a better place with more people like you 😻
Hey, I commented on another video with some suggestions, but I wanted to follow up. Have you made this project opensource/documented? I would love to contribute in the future! Thanks.
Hi! This project is based on two Sabertooth motor controllers and some simple circuits for safety features and control. I haven’t done any custom programming here. I think it’s great if others build similar machines. That’s why I’ve shared my entire process here on RUclips. Also, I have not documented the project in cad, but I am planning to do that, for further improvements. Hope this answers your question. 😊Best regards, Ove.
Thank you for doing this! I’m currently building my stray cat an outdoor shelter… we’ve recently seen a rise in stray cats on my street and it’s heartbreaking to see them sneak under sheds or hide any place to escape the frigid temps. I’m waaaaay behind because I’m a perfectionist but this pushes me to want to finish
Fist of all thanks a lot for the inspiration! Nice project for the winter vacation :) I've already ordered the motors and waiting for the steel delivery. I am taking a bit of a different way by trying to use electric scooter hub motors. The plan is to use it more like a mule to carry around the stuff while we are hiking, because I have a 1yo son and we usually take half of the stuff from the house when we go hiking :)
Hi! That’s awesome! Make some videos of the project!😊
What type of motors you ordered?
it is fantastic except for one thing, where is the cat bed?
Mini cybertruck!
Was those motors too low powered for the final version?
Hi! Yes, not enough torque with old ones, and the gear reduction I had. The final motors has a 6x reduction, to 500 rpm.
@frengen_engineering Thans for the answer! Just looking cheaper motors, but it looks like wrong place to save money. Im building now something similar after i seen your videos!
Luckiest cat on earth?
I have several stay cats that I house in my backyard. I bought them homes from Amazon and cover them with plastic for the winter. I wish I could make them a house like the one you made. It is beautiful.
Very nice.
What size wheels? And where can I find them?
Its 6" wheels, bought from this shop, in Norway: www.clasohlson.com/no/Hjul-4.10-6-Cotech/p/51-1292
Did you use 20mm axle and just grind it down from the end to fit to that 19mm hole?
@ Hi, I bored the wheels up to 20mm😊
Can you give an electronics list, I want to do something like this
I will make a list soon. Will also go trough the in a video😊

Wo, looks like fun
@@hackepeter_101 It is😄
Have you considered adding a blower instead of a plow? What other features do you have planned? The plow is clearly capable of towing salt/gravel too, if you use it, having a trailer that dispenses it behind could come handy!
Absolutely! I am considering making a snowblower in the front. But the machine is quite wide, so it must be a large blower. I also have quite a few other plans for equipment I want to make. tip trailer, rotating brush, lawnmower and perhaps a mini hoist/lifting device that uses the winch. Do you have any other good ideas?😊
@ that’s sweet! If you have a large garden, a rake/till could be useful, a wheelbarrow attachment for heavy pulling, and yes, a brush/leaf blower could come in handy too!
@ also meant to ask, have you open sourced this by chance? What was the total cost?
Are you going to add autopilot?
I think the machine is a bit to dangerous for having a homemade autopilot, but I will keep making upgrades, like a FPV system😊
awesome! how do you rotate the plow?
With a linear actuator. Both for up/down and sideways. It’s shown in the end of the video. 😊
Snøfresar tilkopling?
Tenker det😄
🎉
Thank you so much for this. With all good intentions, I'm not sure the world is OK to see what is shared. Anyways, I feel compassion out of nowhere so for that I thank you for the warmth you gave me. A very human video within these twisted times. Cheers
I'm from a small town in eastern Canada, and lived in Stavanger for 4 years... I'm unsure if you're in Norway, I will assume that yes. Anyway, it's nice to see beautiful images of Norway, and your "toy"... Cool and awesome, yet practical and fun..... Tusen takk for sharing these beautiful images and showing your excellent engineering.
Hi! That’s correct. This is Trondheim, a bit north in Norway. Stavanger is also a great city. Thanks 🔧👌
yeah I know where Trondheim is, haven't been in that part of Norway. wishing you a good end of evening and thanks again for sharing ☺
Needs a better lip out of flexible materiel.
You should sell the plans ‼️😎 Name please of solar panels film ?
Love ❤️ the Yankee workshop ‼️Where did you get that table bench you’re working on ? Oh and thanks 🙏 for caring for Gods creatures 😎
Hi! It’s a Siegmund welding table, bought here in Norway😊
Beautiful job, was wondering if you could incorporate a self sweeping robot to the remote receiver. Move a few sensors around, set boarders up and wait for the snow.
Am i the only one, that notices that he keeps re uploadin the same video?
@@cdj0031 Hi, I know it’s a lot of the same content. I wanted to make a complete video of the machine build, with upgrades, and I have left out a lot of "uninteresting material", to make the videos somewhat better. Still learning. Thanks for the feedback
How much does it weight?
Around 100 kg. Will check😊
Interesting! I am working on similar project and just came across your channel ;) Mine will be easy to build and will be modular (e.g. lawn mover module)... I am planning to make it as an open-source project.
Next upgrade: tracks and a snowblower.
Great project and video! I just got a pair of track systems from an old snowblower and I was looking for some ideas when I found your channel. I suggest you build a salt spreader trailer to be pulled by the Cyberplower.
Hi! Do you have any tips for a FPV system? If possible, a receiver with video output via HDMI or IOS (IPad/ Mac)
Congratulations for this project. It is really amazing. Regarding the FPV, you could use a security camera like TP-Link 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗼 MagCam. As this camera was created to work outdoors, I believe that works fine.
@@hoffsilvaThank you! I was not thinking about IP cameras. Guess I will need a good WiFi signal outdoor for this solution. Also, it cannot be any lag in the video. Will check it out👌😊
If you had a bit of reflective paint on it that IR would pick up you could just have a camera with IR LEDs then sit inside and drive it.
Very nice! Next up: FPV camera for remote plowing?
Hey. Which Turkey company you buy your garage furniture? Greetings from Estonia
good job, that looks so well!!! thank you for helping stray cats, i was looking for an actual tutorial as it gets vicious here in winter so i wanted to help too, and now i can; thanks and keep doing what you’re doing!🥰
Thank you😊
I was here when this channel only had 1k subs and this video only had 9 comments. Amazing work, mate!
same
put tracks :)
I’m not sure if it was suggested or not but what about a FPV setup?
Yep! Will do😄
Loving it again yet all I can think about is creating a smaller 3d printed version of this run using AI. :)
So cool! building my own right now!
That’s great👏 Make a video also!
Really like it! You could add tracks instead of wheels for driving in snow, I think it would help. Also is it faster than doing it with a snow shovel/small snowblower?
Hi! Absolutely. Belts would be better. I may try to make my own belts later. In this video it was very wet and heavy snow. Normally, it goes much faster with this machine than with the snowblower. And it's much more fun😄
@@frengen_engineering Tracks would be amazing. Could do belts with metal treads attached for grip maybe
Nydelig! Alltids kjekt og sjå folk bygge.
Are you going to put a camera on it so you can do it from your couch?
@@Rckid28 Yes, I will definitely do that
Will you build me one?
Great work and GREAT music!
@@OZtwo Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it😊
Prima, klar for vedskogen.
the next upgrade has to be a flamethrower :)
@@c0nnys1 hmm.. That's actually great idea! 🤔
You should make a set of high traction tracks and bolt in idler wheels for winter use
Yeah I would love to build a tracked version of this
That’s a cyber plower
