In the early 90s I managed one of my few clever feats of technology that confused or impressed our mates whom were also avid watchers of Prisoner. It wasn’t shown in Britain till the late 80s but although being 10 years old the series was often more entertaining or gripping compared to the choice some nights because we had just 4 ‘channels ( plus vcr ). Anyway , because of our limited choice and geographical location, I rigged up an additional antenna pointing towards the neighbouring itv region which would often carry alternative programmes The fun thing was that ITV West was running Prisoner at least 6 months ahead of what us in the South region were receiving. My missus & I would baffle another couple with our plot twist predictions for a few months until they visited us and I demonstrated the slightly fuzzy version of “ HTV West News “ & revealed how them over the hills in Yeovil were months ahead of us near Bournemouth. Now I’ll watch the action . 👍
