Vintage things are BETTER than modern | The Rolex Datejust
Prepare to embark on a mesmerizing journey through time, as we unveil a love letter to vintage, showcasing the captivating fusion of a 1980 Rolex Datejust reference 1601 and a vintage motorcycle from 1980, the Honda CB750K.
Living with vintage requires a certain reverence…
It’s definitely not for everyone.
When you buy vintage you buy a memoir, a tapestry that you continue to weave together for future generations.
Now that takes a certain character.
One that can look past the convenience of modernity and the trappings of planned obsolescence. Today we romance over why vintage is better.

Просмотров 25 тыс.2 года назад

In this video, we have one Carrée, ref. 2961, and two Galbées, a steel 987901 and two-tone moon phase Galbée ref 119901. Created by Paul Trinca

Three ways to wear a Cartier Tank | Style, Inspiration and Ideas
Просмотров 45 тыс.3 года назад
The Cartier Tank, as a watch, does very little. Most don’t even have more than hour and minute hands. So how does a watch introduced in 1918 remain an icon today? We’re looking at the Must de Cartier Tank, a highly versatile and elegant unisex watch - we’re making the case that it fits any style and any occasion. Enjoy the Tank, three ways. Im a casual dresser. My everyday outfits are t shirt, jogger pants, and sneaker (sometimes i wear slippers too). And you will never believe how this watch really suits my style. 😂😂😂
I’ve had 3 since the first release over the years and never kept one more than a year, soon got tired of lugging such a heavy watch around.same with my S/43,for me the Sub 41mm is the best choice overall for daily wear.
I used this watch in Saturation Diving, after 17 days there was condensation in the watch the screw crown was tight. I only had the watch for 9 months, bought brand new, I had to wait for nearly a year. It is supposed to be a Professional Divers watch. I am disappointed with Rolex, not good enough.
Nice work.
I feel this way about my Savage Model 99……
Meh.
Whenever I need a boost in life, I come back to this video and listen to this Alpha-Bull.
Santos galbee is a perfect watche, but sincerly not in quartz,i worn during some years the santos steel automatic, was realy great, good acuracy,so elegant and sporty too, unfortunatly i had to sell it for economic problem,i buy it 2600$ at this time in year 2000,and sell it only 1600$,today i try to buy it again, hard to find in steel automatic and ask minimum 4500 or 5000$...its insane, and also in very bad condition...
What a great video! Awesome!
Damn that was cool
Just a gorgeous video. I'm going to get that 1601 next week. Thank you.
very very VEEE-RRY well done!!! Great job on the editing and on transmitting a mood - a vibe!
🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
Well written/produced. Nice tough at the end .....<Why? ....I'm training to be a dad..<. Have you actually worn it while training and playing sports?? Or do you take it off to avoid sudden motion/impact movements?? As I've heard many reviewers say <automatic watches< aren't built to withstnad <sudden vibration/movment<....ports, worn while using a firearm (legally of course)....wonder how true that is.... Where did you guy yours form? An AD right? I think there are 2 in Toronto...(one of which is in woodbridge....Damiani Jewellers..)....
The gold carree of Michael Douglas in Wall Street is amazing
Amazing video. Keep on going. Hello from my Cartier Santos Galbée 1564.
Wowww 👏👌
Nice man. I’m 56 now. I had this bike in 1984 through about 2001. Mine was silver. I also had a silver dial datejust from 1980. Which I later traded in for a 14270 Explorer. Vintage and even up to neo vintage are far better than modern Rolex in my opinion. Any of the five digit variants of Rolex in my opinion are more refined. Bigger and chunkier doesn’t always mean better. The older rattling oyster bracelet and Jubilee bracelet are far more comfortable than the hand cuff feeling modern models. Just my opinion. Great video.
Dominique's accent got worse with time, not better. curious... 😂
Lovely watch, motorcycle and helmet. No get a proper jacket with protection! And do share how accurate is the Rolex. Thanks, regards.
Great video, but Rolex can keep their watches. I used to want a vintage, stainless Datejust, until I saw through the nonsense: the snob appeal, Rolex’s poor to non-existent after-sale service. I’m over it.
At 0.29 photo with the tank looks totally photoshopped 😂
You should do more videos mate
All my latest films are here, thank you, brother: ruclips.net/channel/UCpF9jIKKD19KtRI27HU34fg

This is fucking stupid
Came looking for a video comparing these models and left very impressed with your video as well as the info given. Cheers!
2:39 that's the sound of a v8 engine, not from a bmw
Great video, thank you!
I need the burgundy dial ASAP
Love. Old. Things. ❤❤
I've obtained the deep sea dweller 136660 with black dial. It's awesome I love it. Originally I always wanted a submariner but it felt to small so then changed my mind for the sea dweller. I feel it makes those models look tiny, it looks and feels awesome, after the first few days wearing it I feel great, the hardest thing to do is to try stop looking at it all the time, My first Rolex and what and experience with my AD through out purchase procedure after placing my expression of interest. I'm so glad I made the right choice.
I’ve the same model, I love too.
This is a masterpiece. Already know that I will rewatch it multiple times.
Thank you SO MUCH. means a lot to me.
Me fav
fantastic video thank you
Nice film and nice bike, but Rolex is for carpet baggers and parvenus now…it’s the opposite of classy.
Now I need a vintage rolex
Great video! and I hope more people make watch videos more like yours. The stories about the watch and what people do with their watches, tools & ect. Cheers!
Truck….. a Cayenne ….. a truck.
nice
My favorite is two tone millennium galbee. The white hands and gold numerals are so special
At 57, I've always felt this way. I'd take a vintage Rolex Sub or GMT over a new one every day but for some reason this a permiated my thoughts since I was in my 20s. I always gravitate towards vintage rather than new. The words classic, heritage & proven come to mind. If its old yet still highly desirable today, it meets those criteria.
Love my two tone Santos…I guess Galbee. I’ve had for years and just recently picked a new Santos de Cartier large model in rose gold.
Liked and subbed
Yes iam training mentally for the rolex ad interview to be a eoi
This guy is the real deal. A real Power-Stud.
But that 119901 is no slouch 🏆
The 2961 is my dream watch ☯️
Just bought a 1601 1972 Rolex datejust it’s a beauty ! Part of history
Steven Spelberg Production 👏🏻
