Nice
What did you use for a fungicide? Very nice grow my friend.
SUPER NICE SETUP VIDEO! I still have a question , how many days keep watering them until you turn on the autopot ? I did my transplant yesterday just like u did, in my case was on 25L gallon and the plants with 8 weeks ...
You can just turn on the auto pot right away if you want, I do that sometimes, I only water by hand in the beginning to control how I want the roots to grow. I feel like by hand watering in the beginning keeps the water near the top and i use that to draw the root growth out towards the edges to get a wider root grow. If you have water saturating the very bottom only like in an autopot, the roots will head straight to the bottom searching for water instead of growing outwards.
I just bought 5 geloto seeds from Pacific seed .how much did you average on your yeild per plant
It really depends on the conditions and how many tops you create, when they are perfect like great temps and I make like 16 tops I was getting like nearly a pound of flower per plant. Lately it's super hot through and I don't to so hard core with mainlining that I don't get as much from it.
Hey hairybeard do you have instgram? Have a couple questions for you about the autopots
Sorry I don't have one for this channel but you can reach me here instagram.com/ask_nam/
bro i bought mine from blade addict for 15$ edit mine just springs open you cant do tricks like my other knives
Omg 😱
thanks
hello great post , did you use two lights one for veg and the other for flowering ?
No I generally use the same lights through out the entire grow, however I adjust the intensity of the light accordingly. Initially it'll be at half power and I gradually increase it to full power once it's in flower.
I think u topped off a lil too much😢
Yea, I have a bad habit of doing that because I either top it too late or something it's just a personal test to show people how resilient cannabis plants are.
So, I live in Sweden and do want to get one of these (sharp, not trainer) and I'm debating whether or not to get one because I am still unsure if it will flip like a butterfly knife, on the website there's a strong disclaimer "HANDLES DO NOT SEPERATE" does that mean it is just stuck in the open position forever? Any reply helps, cheers.
So yea it doesn't flip as well as normal butterfly knives, in fact, if feels weird and is difficult to do tricks with because of its shape. It's also significantly heavier than others. Personally I feel that it's not as smooth or balance like my benchmade balisongs.
Great stuff! Thanks for making these videos and spreading knowledge. I learned alot.
Glad to hear it! Thanks for the support
I would NEVER stick my fresh flower in a solvent unless I was planning to make hash. This is absolutely crazy.
It was the only way to make sure the powerdry mildew was eliminated. In the end the smoke was still good. I wouldn't want to bud wash though unless it was absolutely necessary.
dont your ph act up when not mixing silica in before the nutrients and letting it sit 30-60min? With advanced nutrients i have to add rhino skin first and let it sit 30 min and then add sensi grow or sensi bloom ph perfect series n additives/stimulators or else the ph would be acting up
Possibly, I'm not sure I'll have to check but hopefully it's not too bad since I only add silica once a week during my hand watering.
Man I had the Sam problem but ny buts was small I fixed it to late ! So I said f it finished the grow and start over
Yes I always get in that situation. Do I top it and make it bigger, do i let it just finish as is? The thing is it's all a matter of how soon you want to harvest. You can just keep topping until the end of time and it will keep regrowing but I do notice that the long you push it the more likely the soil nutrients are exhausted.
My ocd is going nuts on the sphere fans, especially when it speeds up, aaarrrrggghhhh, start them in same position and SAME time. Please😁. Eerrmmm, ehh, errmm, one of the fans should be put the other way, they are both blowing into the same direction, absolutely dope fans tho, need to see if they do in uk🇬🇧🇬🇧, be great for me strawbs, n peppers😁. I really do think u should have them facing opposing ways, youve got like 2/3rds of the room 👆👇👈👉 them fans are wiked, maybe on ocd thing about tge direction too, hahahaaa😂🤣. Was drivin me mad when u played sped up🤣🤣. Nice setup tho dude, n a very nice outcome, Iv looked at a sungle one of those n heavily considered getting one, in airpots/smart pots, ones with the holes in side. Soil, n small autos, only a 2x2x4, so could be a good investment, you recommend over normal pots?? Respect my guuyy, as i binge watch ya series. 💯🙏🇬🇧😎
Yea I still find them super useful and ever time I see them at costco I think to myself maybe i should get more.
Just caught the Lean Boi's and Chang Gang stickers on the tent... Didnt expect that!

What a awesome way to use autopots organic smart idea water only in the res, love the thorough videos subbed 🤙🏽
Thanks for the sub and the compliment, I try my best. I really hope I can start another grow season soon but it's been too hot here lately.
Trash fake wood
absolutely, it could be so good but that along with the messed up screw kinda makes it lame but it is cheap afterall.
washing is a common practice, havent done myself before but im going to on my next harvest, your right about how normal rain/storms makes the plant wet then it dries itself off the plant is technically hydrophopic to an extent. it helps get rid of a lot of dust/bugs/dirt that the plant collects over time, good shit!
Yea I probably won't do it in the future unless I really have to. It is a real hassle. So as long as I can keep the air circulating well I shouldn't have powdery mildew in the future.
Hi!! is it possible to work with sativa genetics? I understand that in hydro it is better to use indicas.....
Most of my grows are hybrids, with Moby Dick from my latest grow being mostly sativa as for Indica's my next grow will probably include some Northern Lights for some friends who've been asking for it. As for hydro vs soil I don't think it matters, both work great and all comes down to how much work and care you'll have to do for each. I think if people say Indicas are better for hydro my only guess would be that it's because Sativas can grow very big and tall. Blue Dream which is more Sativa leaning can grow up to 10 feet tall which I imagine is quite huge so hydro just from the shear size of the pot would have to be enormous to maximize it's potential, but no matter what the medium or the method it's potential size is really up to you and how long you want it to veg for and how big your pot size is.
@@HairyBeard thanks very much!!
My Bad. Dynomyco is AMAZING STUFF ✌✌✌✌
Yea I've been trying many different ones so I'll take a look at it.
@@HairyBeard . Get Dynomyco you will be Impressed with it 👍👍
OMG. What is up with the gloves. 😂😂😂
LOL yea I love these gloves, they won't get punctured and I can dig all the way down up to my arm pits when I'm doing things like mixing soils or other stuff.
Why are you using a garden sprayer if the roots are established
Not just that but I want to keep my reservoir clean with water only because it's just easier to manage, the pump and the autopot lines won't get clogged up with gung. So if I want to use any liquid nutrients, I do it by hand. I'm not using any chemical nutrients this is just my weekly application of ferments, microbes and silicone.
@@HairyBeard . So you don't put any nutrients in your reservoir because it clogs up the small hose ??
@@davidblack5551 it's not really the hoses but the other stuff, so because I use both a pump and a torus perfect ph a lot of buildups occurs in that Perfect PH that after a while becomes like a glob of brown gunk due to both the chemical nutrients and just natural oxygenation from the pump. They don't necessarily clog the hoses but it clogs the ionizer thing that's inside the Torus perfect ph and inside the pump filter. Other than that it's also just annoying to clean out. However, I do think chemical nutrients can really produce huge yields, I'm just a bit lazy about it and water only with organic living soil is sort of a stress free grow.
TBH I really want to do a chemical nutrient grow maybe for my next grow so we'll see how it goes. If you guys have suggestions for keeping the reservoir maintained let me know.

yeas
Hi mate I'm also using the auto pot system it seems to me a very good way to spend less time in the room, just wondering if u double scrog? I wana try not use a scrog so the light can penetrate towards the lower branches but mayb use bamboo sticks to help hold the plant up, any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers good work 👍
I would double up the scrog going from 3x3 squares to 6x6 but I just didn't want to spend the money on matching p-scrog or make my own with bamboo so instead as you'll see through out my series, I just keep raising the scrog to match the height of the top flower to push that one down and let the others catch up.
Good video - im watching to see when to turn the system on- my plants as very small = suggestion on my autopots I drilled small holes like 14-16 of them all around the top lip an actual bucket -connected zip ties together pushed the loop through the hole - than with small speaker size wire starting at a corner through each loop twisting it tight than the zip ties having a decent size area to stress train from any direction,,
Yea that seems to be what most people do. I guess I like the ease of using binder clips so far since I can easily just pop them off or loosen it when I pull the ties down. I think it just happens to work well with these autopots since the lip is flat, wide and deep to allow the binder clips to clip on.
What does it cost once you buy all your soils mixtures?
It's hard to say because the soil itself is relatively cheap, the OceanForest is only $24 per 1.5cu.ft. at my local provider. I think online it's like $34 but most wholesalers are cheaper. 2 bags of these should be enough. I can't say about the top dressing because I bought all those a long time a go and even now 2 years later I still have more than half the box of each of those but I have about 10 different nutrients amendments from Down to Earth, like the all purpose or kelp meal, etc and they are about $25-$30 for each 5lb box so if I add it all up it is probably about $300 in total but that should last you a long time. So if I just accounted for what I actually used for this grow I'd estimate it was $100 total at most. If you check out the latest season though, I got everything from Build-A-Soil to give that a try and that was a total of $360 for the soil and all the ferments and liquid nutrients.
Is washing the bud common I would think it would effect the thc yield and how it smokes ?
I don't know if it's common but it at least seems pretty acceptable among the cannabis growing community. If you look up the opinions of more popular streamers like Pigeons420 or MrGrowIt they have all commented on how it is standard practice for many. In my one and only experience so far, the taste and smoke seems unaffected. I think it gets about as wet as it would from a everyday rainstorm and dries out in about the same time as if it was growing outdoors (half from the sun evaporating the surface and half from the plant just absorbing it through the leaves). Ofcourse in the same way rain can cause problems like mildew, mold, etc, so can budwashing so you just have to be careful to make sure it's really dry before you start hanging it in your drying area.
THEY LOOK LIKE SHIT LOL
Do you have to water with nutrients manual every time or can you put it in your reservoir ?
Yea, I do it manually because of a couple of reasons, first is I don't want to get the tank and the lines dirty with nutrients, cleaning and clearing a water only reservoir is much easier. I also want to control how much because if I fill up the reservoir I can't really control how much and when they take in the nutrients, it might end up sitting there for awhile and lastly I'm using a Torus Hydro Perfect PH balancer on my pump and if I use nutrients it will make that thing full of gunk. But all this is only because I'm doing a fully organic living soil grow. I do feel if you do a non organic grow you have potential to force it to grow bigger faster and with organic you are kind of at the whim of the plants own desire to grow and at what rate.
Looking good. I'm In The same set up size tent running sweet mix
That's awesome, keep it up and let me know how it goes.
A couple of things I could mention. First, I also live in Southern California. I deal with heat in my 4x4 tent by using portable swamp coolers, and I only grow in the winter months. It helps with the hot temperatures, also Mites are less of a problem in the winter months. I have a question though. How does the 48 hours of darkness before harvesting affect the final outcome?
Yea I was thinking of just moving the AC into the tent but TBH it's getting to the point where the electric bill to keep it cool during the summer is just not worth it. I just have to get better a getting huge harvest during the winter spring period. As for the 48 hours of darkness, it's one of those things that you people argue about all the time some saying it doesn't do anything and others saying it does. The premise is that it makes the plant think the end is coming so they rush to produce more trichomes to try to survive. but it doesn't hurt to do it, you don't lose anything and there is a tiny chance it actually does help so I just do it and got used to doing it but I don't have enough equipment to really like measure trichomes before and after to me I can't tell but I don't have that kind of eye.
Sticky paper does not fix fungus gnats, it’s just a visual representation of how bad your infestation is.
Technically you are half right, it doesn't stop them if they land on the soil but if it catches them that it stops them from laying eggs. I did follow up with diatomaceous earth to make it so they can't land on the soil but I guess nematodes could also help. Thanks for pointing that out.
I don’t know when bud Washing became popular but that’s got to be some moldy ugly ass weed when it’s done drying.
It’s a lot of work so i think if i didnt have to do it i wouldn’t but since we took care of the powdery mildew when it first started i think we were lucky we squashed that and the washing is just a extra precaution but now it’s been dry for awhile they look clean under a scope so I’m happy and the smoke was really smooth even only after 1 week of curing so I’m pleasantly surprised by that.
I like couch lock so I definitely would have taken those further but to each their own
Yea I’m more into a clear head high so I usually get it when it’s mostly cloudy with a bit of Amber
Do you like the AutoPot system? Pros and cons?
I think if you set it up properly, you can have a pretty hands-off grow. Pros are you only have to worry about adding water to the reservoir every 2-3 weeks and if you are going for a full organic living soil then you don't have to worry about anything else. The biggest con I have so far now is that the pots are pretty smaller and I think that does directly affect the plant's growth potential. I think if you are hands-on every day, then traditional fabric pots should be better.
What if a grow bag fit in pots so the air stone doesn't need hudroton
The hydroton isn’t for keeping the roots in which even with fabric bags the roots can poke through but because the auto pot always has a couple inches of standing wanted and you don’t want roots sitting it which causes root rot. The idea is when the water drains down there is a gap of air between the soil and water level which then prunes the roots so they grow past it. But you are right it could work in keep the dirt out of that area because in the past even without dirt or hydroton in the air dome i had a root bundle form there which is bad if it’s always submerged in water
I'm about to start my autos pots
Bro the scrog is sick
@@ledgrowlabs442 Thanks, That's awesome, Hopefully you can learn from my grow and my mistakes. Having now done both LST and Mainline, I do feel the mainlines are bigger not because of the technique per se because I've had huge LST grows too but it's just easier to manage, it takes longer to veg but you can really focus the development. with LST you can hope they all grow equally but sometimes, some branches just grow big and some don't and you never know which is which so you end up wasting effort and resources on those that should have just been trimmed off. Based my experiences so far, definitely getting that gravity-based electronic watering timer is a must so you can really have dry soil periods and the P-Scrogs make it so much easier to tuck branches than tying down branches.
Nice video music sux
