Note that we cannot be saved until we have remission of sins through baptism, nor is infant baptism found in the New Testament Scriptures. --LIVE A CHRISTIAN LIFE BY OBEYING AND SERVING CHRIST (Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 2:10). Mention baptism for salvation, and many people immediately turn to the thief on the cross scenario. They claim that we can be saved like the thief on the cross, saved by faith alone in Jesus without being baptized by immersion in water, just as the thief had faith but most likely was never baptized. The difference is that while Jesus was on earth, He had the power to forgive sins (Matthew 9:1-8) as well as to forgive and save the thief on the cross (Luke 23:43). All that was before the New Covenant was established. Since we are not thieves on crosses today and with the New Covenant now in effect, we are subject to all of Jesus’ commandments and cannot be saved in the same manner as the thief. Thus, we must be baptized by immersion in water for remission of sins as one of Jesus’ requirements for salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 states that we are saved by grace through faith, not works. That is, Jesus saves us through His grace as a gift to those who have faith enough to obey His commandments, WHICH ARE NOT PERSONAL WORKS. Yet denominations abuse the passage in claiming salvation by faith alone in Jesus. But Jesus says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15 KJV), just like those above. “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you” (John 15:14 KJV). “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? (Luke 6:46 KJV). THEREFORE, IF YOU TRULY HAVE FAITH IN JESUS AND YOU REALLY WANT TO BE SAVED, THEN DO WHAT JESUS TELLS YOU TO DO. IT’S. JUST. THAT. SIMPLE.

A lot of people struggle with prayer. I pray and read my Bible daily. I only started reading the Bible this year. Before I found Jesus, I was a Muslim for almost 30 years. I now know that the quran scriptures were stolen from the Old Testament to try to get Jews to follow Muhammad and his hatred towards Christians. And when he was rejected, the new testament was completely rewritten to reflect Muhammad’s hatred towards both Jews and Christians. I was born and live in the USA. I’m thankful and grateful for Gods Mercy, because I know I was wrong and was/am a sinner, and the only way is through Jesus, the cross, and the resurrection. Instead of deeds and works alone, I now know that my faith in Jesus and then my work is the way. Instead of constantly worrying about being punished by allah, I now feel loved and have a relationship with Jesus. I’m rambling now, but I’m just so grateful!
